He doesn't try while singing. He sings to patiently. He is completely aware of how good is voice just naturally is, so now he doesn't try at all. It's so boring to listen to him sing anything anymore. In Dance Gavin Dance you can tell he was having fun. For the past couple of years, he's just been so bland.

this is not "empty california winters". that was just a working studio title for an unfinished, rough track. here we have the fully produced, mixed, mastered, finished product... the way it was meant to be released. im definitely liking the direction his music is heading in. lyrics are deep as fuck

Yes. That was never the name of the song or the version that was suppose to come out. It was basically the demo from the first day we all worked on it. We went back and actually finished the song the next day but the demo from the first day leaked, unfortunately.

This is the same song as "empty California winters" but that was just a work in progress and "we black hearts bear the cross" is the full/finished song So to sum it all down it's the same song but the name to the song changed and Kyle Lucas was added

Its not only the finished product with kyle Lucas added. I'm pretty sure captian midnight mixed this more after the release by (insert bitch here). It sounds way better finished but Jonny did something new with his voice in this song. I can't pinpoint it but its not as clean in certain areas, which is normally good, but idk. Its just not that song you hear and love. You hear and like. Oh well. Hopefully this is the worst song.

I don't know, I really like Jonny's voice but I think that this song isn't quite the best that it could've been. It does have a few strong lyrics to it, but I expected it to be a lot deeper than what it was, especially with a title like such. Don't get me wrong, it's a good song, but it will only ever be a good song. I can't call it a great song because it's honestly only a good song because of the vocals - it's lacking way too much in lyrics.

I like it, but I feel like doing too much will be the downfall of Jonny Craig. Emarosa, Dance Gavin Dance, Slaves, solo work, Ghost Runner On Third, Isles And Glaciers, this; that's what I think happened to Jordan Blake-after leaving A Skylit Drive he tried to take-on too many things and they all ended-up failing. Jonny has had much better luck so far, but if that luck runs-out? I don't know-I'm just thinking out-loud. Good track though!
