Hello Jonny, I have a question about the same problem with my Toyota Corolla 2013. When I putted the scanner on this is all it said: "P2757 Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Circuit Performance/Stuck off" Will it be the same solenoid as the one on this video???

So here is what happened after changing the solenoid. The car worked fine with no code for three days, then the code showed up again and the car started to do weird stuff again but way less than before. I took the car to Al’s transmission and checked it and the transmission is back to 100%. It appeared that what I am having now is throttle body issues. So I think the solenoid problem is fixed. I will update you more next week.

@@IcedOutGhost No. So I replaced the SLU and SLT solenoids. It does drive better but I have different codes popping up every 30 + miles ( I erase them but new ones pop up every 30 or so miles). Mainly the code has been p2757 but last night it was p2714 and p0751 and there was no p2757. So I talked to my neighbors mechanic and he thinks the tranmission cpu module needs to be replaced. If that doesn’t work - the tranmission needs to be replaced. $550 for the tranmission cpu module. So I am just going to do it. Thoughts!? Good deal? Should I just replace the transmission? $550 investment in vain?

I would NOT recommend adding the gasket making material to the rubber gasket. The rubber gasket is likely fine, and will last years without leaking. I have had to repeat this job multiple times over 4-6 years, and I don't even bother replacing the rubber gasket and filter each time. It has not leaked yet.

Very helpful video but i have to say you made a big mistake by only adding 2 qts, the 2 qt is only for changing the fluid without the filter, the filter drops at least another qt so you would have needed 3 - 4 qts. Hope everything is still running great tho and it wasnt a big problem

That’s right! I got the Lexus service manual and followed the instructions. My car took about 5qts and I also replaced the strainer.

I notice I have this problem about 30 minutes of driving on the freeway, especially if there is stop-N-go traffic. I replaced the solenoid and received the code again. I will try replacing some of the fluid. Note: I do not plan to replace all of the fluid for fear of clutch slippage (the clutch wears out over time, and if you replace with new fluid, it may slip because there is not enough metal filings left in the fluid to stop the slip. I also plan to clean the connections to the CPU near the battery and test the voltage on the solenoid (not sure how yet).

yes johnny must have an all wheel drive because 35280-30050 is the correct part number for my base 2007 is250. also, change both the slt and slu solenoids. part 35290-34010. this is how u fix it

I replaced the solenoid and the light is still there, shifts fine during highway speeds and goes all the way into 6th gear, when I’m barley accelerating from like a stop sign or what not I noticed how it jumps between 1000 to 2000 rpm, any leads on how I can fix it? I feel like it doesn’t even slip it just jumps up

If your trans is shifting well, swapping the sensor won't improve shifts. Definitely night and day in the shifts from when it wasn't receiving signal from the sensor.

I just pulled my solenoid out. It is tested at 5.6 ohm and when 12V is applied, the plunge moved. That tells me it is a good solenoid.... Maybe filter clogged up and fluid dirty, hence pressure is low? I will put everything back with new filter and 2 qt of fluid and see if the problem comes back.

I have a 2011 Corolla with the same code that came on twice. I took out all the solenoids and tested them. All but one of them were perfectly fine. The part number that you need for the replacement solenoid is 35290-52040. Do the basic stuff first to confirm that the solenoid is the problem. Check fluid level, replace dirty fluid and filter, check for leaks and then test the solenoid.

FYI... before changing the SLT or Line Pressure Control Solenoid, check the SLU or LockUp Control (TCC) Solenoid. I changed the SLT Solenoid as recommend in the video, but the Check Engine light and P2757 code came back on. After some more research, I decided to change the SLU Solenoid as well and... the Check Engine light and P2757 code are GONE! I've driven my car over 100 miles already. After changing the SLT Solenoid the Check Engine light and P2757 code came back on at about 10-15 miles. I forgot to mention, but the VSC warning is gone as well!

yes, with low throttle application it is normal to be in 6th gear at 42mph.

@@JonnyBarajas had O'Reily diagnosed it first, got code p0798 c1201 c1223 u0123 u0129. Changed all PCS and went to autozone and diagnostic came up pressure control solenoid A and bank 1, 2 off, but thats due to breathers. Why is it showing up pcs A, yet shifts to 1,2,3,4, but not 5&6

there is a proper sequence for filling the transmission ,, you take the allen key plug out the pan and fill untill it runs out. Also needs to be a specific temperature 49 deg I think .. YOU JUST GUESSED AT IT.

Why didn’t they show taking the solenoid out?? Does the valve body have to come down???

Did you even watch the whole video? You drop the trans filter to get to the bolt

You gonna messup the tranny, you need at least 5 qt.
