Thanks to you, I avoided a lot of problems. I had tried a new flush valve seal, but the problem wasn't fixed. Seeing your video, the simple statement of putting it it the grove near the top, and then it would spin is what did it. I had it there but not in the proper grove. Thank you for that short but important piece of information.

To make absolutely sure that's the problem, I shut the water off at night and if the tank is empty in the morning, that's not the problem. It could be the seal is not sitting properly and some of the comments were that could be the issue. Just rotate it around and make sure its fitting properly. Good job! Have you ever done a video on how to do a full brake flush on a CRV?
@JonnyDIY3 жыл бұрын
Thanks John! Not yet no, usually don't have to do a brake flush for 10 years. I do have a video where I siphon the brake reservoir out, that works well. You just do it once a week maybe 4-5 times and it'll get the whole system nice and clean 👍 kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJS4iZeqrZukl6M
@jamkpa3 жыл бұрын
@@JonnyDIY Jonny, I think the brakes get flushed every 2-3 years per maintenance minder.
@JonnyDIY3 жыл бұрын
@@jamkpa wow that seems a little overkill to be honest, it doesn't really break down. It can just absorb water over many years. But its not too hard of process to do. You just have to bleed each brake, starting from furthest from brake master cyclinder to closest. If you look up any generic "how to bleed or flush brakes" video it will be the same.

what is the black ring/seal under the red seal we just replaced? It caused my water to turn black too (assuming this is from the black rubber deteriorating). If that happens does that need to be replaced too?

Whats your thoughts if its still leaking after replacing seal? Very slow leak not a perfect seal.
@JonnyDIY Жыл бұрын
May be sediment built up on flush valve assembly. Try cleaning where the 2 come together to seal. Could have possible got a bad new seal as well, I'd give a day see if it swells up and seals. If no luck I'd probably try another seal then replace the assembly if seal doesnt work
