Wow, that looks like it took an entire Weekend! I have a 2003 Tundra with a cracked windshield. So far no leaks(knock on wood,lol) I have been reluctant to replace the Windshield. We had to replace the windshield in our 97 Camry, we had nothing but problems afterwards with leaks. Great Video. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the video about leaks, I'm chasing 2 of them. One note though, as a licensed glazier for 30 years (glass installer, inc., auto) I can assure you for a fact that urethane, used to glue windshields in since the late 70's, doesn't ever dry out, crack or shrink. It is one of the strongest materials of its kind I have ever had to cut. Also, if your windshield, there is only one glass in your car/truck named a windshield, that has to be replaced, the glass is removed with a special "close to glass" oscillating blade, the original bed of Urethane is left in place and a new bead is applied directly to that bed of cured Urethane to maintain the height of the original set of the glass, the new filler strip if required.

I did my front windshield the way u did on my 2000 Toyota i took as much rust off as i could n primed it with primer now tomorrow im going to use 3m window weld to put in the crack between windshield n body u think ill be fine

I just used high grade 100% black silicone. Window weld is more for adhering glass. They sell car window sealant too at like Autozone Oreillys etc 👍

At :32, what I did with the cracked window trim was use a razor knife and carefully remove the black plastic coating and your left with a shiny chrome trim seal that matches the mirrors and other chrome parts. It really doesn’t look bad at all imo. On the leak issues, my rear window seal has a very small leak that allows to drip inside the cab near the rear corner on the drivers side. With 100k in this Louisiana heat I’ll probably just get it replaced. I cleaned my heater coil with a shop vac, a small flexible hose, some small soft brushes and Simple Green then rinsed it all down with distilled water in a sprayer.

The retainer clips on the a pillar around 9 minutes do leak. I had a clip broke with the screw missing and confirmed leak. Anyone know the part number?
