I feel like there a lot of pilots out there that are such big nerds about flying only in full manual that they sacrifice everything to be in that mode. As anyone who actually makes money flying knows, you use the mode that gets the best outcome.

Well put. Me, I don’t do it for money yet. But your drone should be like your tools in your tool box. Each one is designed for a specific purpose. So that being said, based on the type of weather, indoor/outdoor, and so on. Take what you need…. No drone is the end all be all. Just depends on the need.

You should use only Avata 2 if you want to use speedramps. Footage looked so much smoother. Keep Flyfoo as your backup drone! Just practice more with Avata 2 that it feels more confortable. And IMO those "stunt flight paths" like above sink are only for other fpv pilots. I don't think that home buyer who wants to see the house does't even notice or care of technical side of flight. They want smooth video that shows them what kind of layout and rooms house has. Thanks for the video. It was good comparison of indoor flying wiht different modes and drones.

I think it’s the fpv pilot in me that feels like the avata fly through looks more robotic/less natural and there’s no whoosh out the window, to add something whimsical or cool. You can get the look of an avata flythrough without a drone using matteport or something. I don’t know, I have a lot of affection for the avata but some looks are over polished and stabilized drones sometimes feel that way to me

If you shoot at 60 fps, then play back (edit) at 30 fps, you've got buttery smooth slow motion and all the bumps are only half as bad. I find great slow-mo to be about the easiest thing on the avata 2.

I just stumbled upon your channel, and the content you're doing is very good and educational. I'm loving it, and thank you for that. I have a question about flying the Avata 2 inside houses. I live in Europe, and the houses here are almost always made of very thick concrete, which drastically lowers the signal. For example, when I am two rooms away from the drone, I get a red message saying "Fly with caution (No satellite/vision...)," and the N icon (for normal mode) turns red. At that moment, the drone starts to experience weird lags in all directions and occasionally results in a crash. So, the question is: are there any tips and tricks you can give us in such cases? Are there any kinds of signal boosters for the DJI Avata 2, and do they really work?
@JonnyTregoАй бұрын
Thank you so much! Thats really interesting! honestly im not sure what to do about that, I know in my own flying i lose satellite connection sometimes and it never affects my flying. I wonder if it is a european thing with having less signal strength there. But even then that wouldn't make sense to me because it should be able to fly just fine without satellites. Let me look into it and see what I can find

It occurs to me that we FPV pilots often spend a lot of time, effort, and money making our quads (especially cinewhoops) fly like DJI quads. I am primarily interested in smooth cinematic footage and am not really into aerobatics. I spend most of my time in angle mode. I'm just about finished with a Bee35 build and would be thrilled to capture even half as good of footage as the Avata 2 gets right out of the box. My flying skills are below the average FPV pilot and I think the Avata 2 would be perfect for the results I'm pursuing. Still, I've gotten a great deal of satisfaction out of building and flying my diy quads and I wouldn't trade that experience but I do admit that DJI does it better for everything except freestyle and racing. Just my 2 cents. That and four bucks will get you half a cup of coffee these days 😮. Happy flying amigo 🫡 🍻.

So all the opinions and reasons you gave in this video can be boiled down to the fact that you just aren’t used to the Avata 2 and don’t have much experience with it yet. Everything about feeling like you have more control with the other drone is just down to skill and familiarity, there is no reason you couldn’t have gone near the sink or done anything you did with the other drone with the avata, you just weren’t used to the avata yet. Why not get used to something before reviewing it? Makes the whole review pointless when all of your points are just that you don’t have much experience with it yet and you are more comfortable with the drone you have been using for a while.
@JonnyTrego2 ай бұрын
I can completely understand where you are coming from! The difference between flying my other FPV drones vs the Avata 2 is that the Avata 2 has limited customization when it comes to tuning it to fly properly. So i am just stuck with the way it flies. whereas yes comfortability does come from flying it more, but there is also no way of actually fixing the problems that I have with it because I cant go in and change throttle curve, add an angle mode etc.
