Yes. In my area when BLM marched through peacefully, we made sure they stayed peaceful because on every street corner were openly armed business owners and ranchers, along with our Shariff and a few police officers. It was a sight to behold. Plus, we ourselves chased off a white supremist organization who tried to buy property here. We protect all our different races here. This is their home too and we love them.

I grew up in town of 500 people. I served in the US army special forces. When I left, I became a Paramedic and a police officer. What I'm saying is, we take care of our own. I did that here and around the world. Be respectful or there is a price to pay, especially where our family and friends live. Just be a good human whatever your beliefs. I think that is what you were getting at. The controversy is that there is a controversy. The images were only factual events. It's about clicks and politics. Bigger cities absolutely. Are used to live in a gang infested city of 180,000 people and this stuff happened all the time. But it was gang warfare crap. In a small town we take care of each other no matter what the issue. This song is hated by criminals and racists.

There's something called "the tragedy of the commons," where if no one owns something, no one cares about it. Big cities burn because few people know the owner of the store that got robbed, or the cop whose car was set on fire, or any of the victims of violence. That's not how it goes in a small town. Something bad happens, you know, at least by association, who it happened to. You know the store owners, the cops, the people on the street. You have a direct investment in what happens to them. Big city? Oh, it's terrible, but it doesn't affect you directly. You're not involved, you don't know who's committing those crimes, it's easy to look the other way once the shock wears off. Small town? You're gonna be visiting victims in the hospital, bringing food to help their family, your kid's gonna go over and mow their lawn for them, etc. You want to try something in a small town? I agree with Aldean, I recommend you don't.

Before my beautiful grandmother left this earth, she consistently taught me one important thing, something she would say over and over to me in my small town-she would say “love and take care of your neighbor, help those that need it, and be kind to everyone you meet, because you don’t know if you could change someone’s life with kindness”……she taught me that for 40 years of my life that I was blessed to have her. That’s what this song is about! Having someone’s back, loving your neighbor, and taking care of the people in your community! This world has gone crazy with this “cancel” bs. It’s time to stand up against the leftist liberal hatred the media tries to push. They want us divided. It’s not going to happen, this “controversial” song is stirring peoples’ hearts! It’s bringing up patriotism and what my grandma taught me! “Love and take care of your neighbor, do what’s right” ❤️💙🇺🇸

People are saying it's a pro lynching video.Because at the courthouse in the video way back in 1927 a black teen was lynched. But there has been many videos and movies filmed at that location in Columbia,Tn

The reason why is controversial is because they don't want you sticking together being a community on everybody fighting it makes it easier to push their agendas

The main thing peeople that are complaining about is that the courthouse shown in the video was the site if a lynching in 1920-1930s. Unfortunately there are many buildings that have this sad fact associated with them. But this is simply a small town thing. You and your family are known by name to almost everyone in town. If you desire to be a part of the community then small towns are for you. Kind of like a big family.

I commented to a friend that I’m not sure there is a square foot of ground that hasn’t had an atrocity committed on it. The courthouse does not advertise that a lynching took place there. There wasn’t a memorial out front to acknowledge this evil action.. but I think there should be. My understanding is that is the courthouse for the county that Jason lives in, and it has been used in other movies and such Someone that didn’t like the song did a ton of research to find something, anything to make it racist. I live in a diverse small town. My neighbor who is a person of color had this song blaring while he did yard work yesterday. He trimmed a tree branch that was starting to get too low for me, and I brought him cold beer, and we sat on the porch and drank a couple. Yes. In rocking chairs 😂

Candace Owens said there was a scene in the Hannah Montana movie of same Courthouse. I don’t remember any uproar when that movie came out? It didn’t fit their narrative!!

Yea, they're using that point, its hypocritical in the respect that the same courthouse has been used in over 35 other films including as one 0erson mentioned, a hannah Montana christmas special. And nothing but crickets on those films. 👍

If these people really cared that much about the lynching, they would cancel the democratic party since it created the Klan.

You are exactly right Jono, we take care of our own. DO NOT try that in a small town, and I think that goes for many countries around the world. But I speak from what I know, USA, and he is certainly right, cause it might happen once (whatever) but trust it won't happen twice!

What hes saying in this song is the same thing those of us who live in small towns started saying whin these riots kicked off 2 or 3 years ago. We dont tolerate that behavior. I witnessed people with rifles guarding a peaceful protest.

Jono your reaction was golden (better get your blood pressure checked after watching it). I love the song, it is now #2 on the charts so many people agree. I lived in small towns most of my life and people do care about one another. I’m in a large city now and that kind of violence is a daily occurrence.
