The Canon-Look is just ssooooo much better than the GH5. The Sonys Rollin Shutter sucks for Vloging though. Pleas stay with the 1DX😁👍

Jan Schreier Do you mean the flickering during the plan scenes? It’s not a rolling shutter problem. The FPS settings were set to high for the electric frequency of the plane light. I thing the camera was setted up for slowmotion filming.

kindathome first of all the scenes of Jon talking in the plane were shot on the Canon, so it could not be a rolling shutter issue anyway. Secondly I was talking about the scenes driving to the airport. You don’t need to explain me how cameras work my friend🙂

Jan Schreier I meant the scenes in the plan where you can see that Jon is holding the canon and the b-roll the seconds after that. There is a lot stronger flickering than before. So I think it was shot on the Sony and with a higher FPS. The colors are slightly different as well. And during the drive to the airport. I don’t see any rolling shutter problems. Which second do you mean? I can’t see any disturbed shapes or other something.

The canon look isn't much different than the GH5. Literally the only difference is color science. You pay $4,000 more for the 1DX just for better color science and dual pixel auto focus. Not worth $4k.

I still feel like the Canon 1DX2 looks pretty similar to the GH5 minus the color science, so I'm satisfied with this look. It's an easy adjustment for the viewers, and you get what you wanted out of a camera. Win win.

The new camera looks good! The only two tips on my behalf is to try to lower the shutter speed a bit so it doesn't look so choppy. And it also looks like you guys need to adjust your grade a bit to the new camera because it looks somewhat intense, but that makes sense because you just got it.
