9:40 After Mustafar duel, Anakin's lightsaber was damaged by the heat so the activation clamp was changed and renewed by Obi-Wan with new pieces. Same with his own lightsaber

I picked up my version from UW/TPS a few months ago. (UW is my main go-to for lightsabers. I must have 40+ of their hilts). It fulfilled my bucket list, but it's not a hilt that I'll actually use much. That control box just makes it uncomfortable to wield. Also, fingerprint magnet. 89Sabers/CCSabers/TXQSabers do make some very nice hilts. I've 4 hilts from them and overall I'm quite pleased with the purchases. Can't wait to see what else you'll be dropping on us.

Ok, now I'm just talking out of my arse here, but I like the connection of his lightsaber to his suit (Darth Vader's suit) even if it's a subconscious decision. It's a metaphor. Anakin was a tortured soul in life. Palpatine designed his suit to be painful as a reminder of that mental and physical anguish, and thus he has a lightsaber that would also be painful to wield as it's not very utilitarian which forces him (no pun intended) to learn how to master it through pain. Through he grew to be prolific with it considering his tragic story... his lightsabers throughout time, reflected that. They were a physical manifestation of his pain, to inflict pain to then wearing the Darth Vader suit which in turn inflicted even more pain. So he was idk... always drawn toward what he was accustomed to as well as what his ultimate destiny would become, and metaphorically speaking... he was accustomed to pain; it all makes sense.

This literally looks like Vader’s lightsaber before it went through puberty. They did an amazing job storytelling through props

This will be a buy for me eventually but I want to get a Romanprops MK1 first. On the graflex bit I did think the 3 to 4 was weird so I got a diy kit and have the majority of it finished, just need to brass the clamp lever and install the chassis. As changes I think most agree Obi probably tinkered with it to make it more user friendly for Luke, who knows maybe something got damaged during the duel and it needed replacements.

Where lightsabers worked like lightsaber got me 😂that was funny but true but in all reality this is one of the sabers that is truly iconic and very similar to Vaders lightsaber which is one of my favorite sabers and one of those that I truly love and would certainly have if it wasn’t so expensive

I imagine that Obi-Wan somehow found out that Leia had the ability to see memories from objects (I forget what that power is called) and suspected that Luke might develop that ability as well. So he changed the outer sleeve of the hilt and the control box and so that those memories were no longer attached to it the same way. To further support this hypothesis, when Rey grabs the saber in the force awakens she only sees memories from cloud City onwards from the lightsaber.

Coolest OG Lightsaber scene for me has to be the deleted version of the Jago Fett Death scene. Mace Windu just really chops up his body & stares down Dooku & Dooku looks back likes he's scared! They still kept the part of Dooku looking back in the movie, but it doesn't really make sense without Windu staring back at him like "Your next Muthaf*$$*!!! right after he chopped up Jago...

obi wan changed the saber over the years so it would be easier for luke to handle he made it completely defrent by a reason it also got rusty in the sand i think

It would be super dope if they made the control box removable and have like a flush fitting piece that looks like the control box for when you’re handling it

I'm wondering if that blade, doesn't risk to wiggle with that gold thumb screw (just lemme know in case). By the way I think this is one of the most accurate ep2 anakin sabers, along with the Vader's Sabers version. You should make a comparison video about both of them.👍

Will you do a comparison between the Xeno v2 Anakin Ep 2 and the 89 sabers? I want to know which is the preferred Anakin Ep 2 saber to go for. Hell, if you have LGT's Anakin Ep 2 saber, you could compare all 3.

I don’t have the newest version but the xeno v2 is identical but with a retention screw and single button. If you get a Xeno version you can’t tell the difference besides the screw

@TheCollectorsOutpost Got it. I was curious because according to CC's website, the AS2 Saber is 320 mm, which is 12.5 inches long. Shouldn't the Saber only be about 10 inches?

I already did the SNv4 and proffie of it so you never know. The 89 sabers may come across here at some point.

There is a theory that says that obi-wan knew that he would give anakin's lightsaber to his son, but he midified it for people that never hold that kind of weapon before ( like luke ) with a more important grip, a D ring (and not the jedi black circle) etc.

it was also said Obi-Wan changed the saber so Luke can train with it as Anakin Lightsaber was made for a jedi Master and not a Padawan. it was also said from George Lucas that the lightsaber was to be heavy he did say Mark hamill came to him and showed him the lightsaber fight style and George told him no that its ment to be used with 2 hands and the saber is ment to be heavy and use to hands as it had alot of energy. this is Canon as it did come from George Lucas & Mark Hamills Mouth you can find it on youtube just try in George Lucas Talks Changing Lightsaber Combat In Star Wars

I have the Master Sol coming in I think. I passed on Indara as the design was all wrong. They need to go back and rework it. But it don’t matter as they will all be to Small and not screen accurate in anyway cuz the tv shows hilts are as think as the average galaxies edge sabers. Shame that they did that. but I’ll unbox what ever continues so people can see them for them self and figure out what they want to pick up for their own collection.
