I lost my mother to suicide 6 months ago. She loved this song and always played it when we were growing up. Now it takes on a whole new meaning for me....making it through another day without her. Wish I could have found a way to make her stay forever. I miss you, mom.

To me this song is about me being the child of parents who divorced when I was young and longing for all my family to be at the table together. Even though I know they'll never be able to "give me a reason" why it can't happen, it's just another day without you.

At John 5:28,29 Jesus makes it clear that a worldwide resurrection is coming. "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." Unrighteousness doesn't exist in heaven. So those resurrected to judgment will be resurrected back to life here on earth. If they prove themselves worthy, they will be given everlasting life. John 3:16 Psalm 37:29 "The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it." To think about: If the unrighteous are burning in hell for all eternity, then why are they going to be resurrected? Aren't they condemned? Romans 6:7 shows that someone who has died is acquitted from his sins. And can that fiery hell teaching be true if, as Ecclesiastes 9:5 and 10 show "the dead know nothing at all"? If you'd like to discuss this my email address is on my about page. I wish you well.

WOW THATS DEEP .. :)

@@BrianKliewer Salvation is not a performance or of works. It (Salvation) is a gift and cannot be earned. We are given Jesus righteousness because we believed in Him. The judgment for sins was borne at the cross by our Lord Jesus Christ. So the judgment coming is not about sins but for unbelievers rejecting the gift. As for believers the judgment is about our ministering and whether we preached a ministry of reconciliation(grace) or a ministry of condemnation (law). If one preached a ministry of reconciliation(grace) a reward would be awaiting them but if you preached a ministry of condemnation(law) a loss of reward would occur though you would still be in heaven because of accepting the gift. Ephesians 2:8-10 2 corinthians 5:17-21 Romans 10:1-4 Romans 3:21-24 Our Lord Jesus Christ loves you all very much.

Her name was Alba. She was Israeli, I'm American. We met in Thailand, ended up working together for a number of years. She practically defined that entire period of my life... She died in 2018 saving a little girl from a burning hut. This was one of the many songs she had on repeat on her playlist whenever we got the chance to relax and listen to music. I saved every one of those songs when I got her personal effects... She was enamored with America, and we had dreams of getting married and her becoming a US citizen and growing old together. I cannot get over the days I danced with my son in my arms to this. He was being diagnosed as disabled. And he is, very. He is 32 now. I remember when he got too big for me to pick him up and dance like we did. He reached and i said let's dance standing up. It worked slightly for a bit. This song can have many meanings and for me it is my son.

My father got me into this in the early 90's. He was a real romantic. He passed a few years ago in what to me were very traumatic circumstances, and now i listen to this song and sing it as if I am not singing to a physical love, but to God. Since my father passed I can't find a way to make it through my day without God, and prayer. I don't go to church, I hate all dogma, but somehow I get from this song something other than what I feel the original idea was. I hope john is satisfied with knowing that his music not only helps lovers find strength in each other, but it has also helped me in an entirely different way. It has helped me come to terms with my fathers passing and it has strengthened my faith. So I say Thank you John.

We all have to grow up and carry the responsibilities of adulthood...hahahahah.... while the 90s were difficult times for me too... the clubs eventually close or just stop operating, the music, the songs the beats still remain as an awesome memory in my life... I am French. When this came out, I was about 14 yo, living in Paris. At the time, I was into Latin music and heard this song (and the Spanish version Otro dia más sin verte) for the 1st time on Radio Latina. I used to listen to it in loops. It was my favourite song as a teenager (along some Guns n’ Roses songs). I had forgotten about this song until tonight when I heard it on Instagram. 30 years later this song makes my heart race the same way. Such a beautiful and underrated song. This song has such an energy, passion and pace.
