Late 1997. My first son was just born, but diagnosed with congenital heart disease. At the time they said he was unlikely to make it. I was driving home alone from the hospital and this song came on. I had to pull over cos I couldn't see the road ahead - eyes full of tears. To this day, if I hear this song, there is a big chance I will bawl like a baby (happened at a supermarket two years ago!!!) - but it helped give me hope - It's probably meant to be a love song, but to me this song is about a father and his son. My son survived five operations and will be 23 this year.

I used to hate Lighthouse Family in the 90's... they were ubiquitous, every shop you went in, bloody Lighthouse Family was on. Radio stations never learned that overplaying just makes you hate an artist. January 2022 and still listening! My dad bought this CD album --and just as a background --whenever it's Saturday, our family goes on a drive to the mall to watch a movie and have dinner after. This album was always playing in our car and I always loved the feeling that LF's music gives ... fast forward to now my parents are separated, my mom and my two siblings hate me that much to cut me out of their lives, and this is the only remnant of a happy memory where our family was complete and happy. Just glad I have my dad and one other sister who chose my side .... So yeah, I love this song ... and the rest of the album.
