At first, I also wasn't sure & wanted them to bring in someone new from the outside, but there is a lot of benefit to having someone with White's level of experience within the WNBA. She is one of the best current coaches in the league. So not only will she not need an adjustment period to get used to the WNBA system, she is well respected by players in the league which helps Fever attract the best free agents. White has a great basketball IQ & therefore is great with the in-game Xs & Os. I think her weakness is player development & by that I mean she isn't the coach to find diamonds in the rough & polish them into great players (I think that is why she didn't do well at Vanderbilt). But she can always hire a good assistant coach for development. White's basketball IQ & ability to make good decision during the game is what the Fever need most.

I think that she lacks confidence in her shooting. Many times, she had open shots and passed the ball. Maybe if she would do what CC22 does [ 100 shots each from three-point territory and 100 from two-point territory] would boost her confidence. Doing this her muscles react to the shot naturally and improves the shot ccuracy.

I KNOW basketball is not a contact sport, but I got a problem with a player being assaulted and NO ONE on said players team even acknowledging let alone standing up for that player. I watched CC get assaulted repeatedly on that court and not once did I see one of "team mates" stop to check her, help her up, NOTHING. There's something wrong with that situation. I do not want to see roller derby with knives, BUT I also don't want to see a team of door mats either. What I want is the officiating fixed so that the assaults stop. I think KM was a bit of a ball hog at the beginning of the season and I watched that change over time as the season progressed. She and CC started firing on all cylinders and have become a dynamic duo. Her contract has ended and she is now an unrestricted free agent. She could sign with another team if she wants to. I believe she will CHOOSE to re-sign, but it will be up to Kelly Krauskopf to make it financially attractive to stay. And there could be factors none of us know about that could influence where Kelsey wants to be. We can't assume she will still be with the Fever in 2025 until the ink is dry on her new contract.

@@JE-IC I think Kelsey realizes how playing with CC has improved her game & exposure. And she has mentioned many times that she loves the fast style of play CC brings. The one thing that could make her leave would be if there was an offer that would bring her closer to her family, esp since her father recently passed I think being close to family is a big priority for her, but Kelsey is a midwest girl from Ohio & I think her mother still lives in Cincinnati, so I do not see that as a concern. I think Kelsey just wants to experience the full process of being a free agent & see what her value is in the league with the different teams. But if KM just resigned with the Fever or even said she is most likely to resign, she wouldn't get real offers & see what her true value may be. If nothing else it gives you confidence in your value & leverage in negotiations. So I can understand both her & the Fever being vague about her future right now.

Other factors that could influence a free agent on where to go are what they think of the coach, what they think of potential teammates, what they think of the facilities, what their endorsement prospects look like, whether they think that team is capable of winning a championship, etc. I believe all these factors are favorable for Fever, but ultimately it comes down to what Kelsey thinks is best for her.
