To Fever fans: take it from a fan of the Fever who’s been here from the beginning, be patient with Coach Steph. You will get what you want, be patient. Instant gratification is hard in women’s basketball. Even after the Olympic break I was surprised they were able to go off like that, even with the talent on the team. It takes time to mesh. Be realistic in your goals that you have for the coming season. Idk if many of you know how special this actually is for Coach Steph to be here now, at this moment. It’s incredible. Let’s help, not hinder their process. Btw Lexie staying in Indiana this offseason with Caitlin will be a huge factor next year, gaining more chemistry can only help. It’s very smart on her part. You can candidly hear from Stephanie White that what separates her from a good coach is the comprehensive understanding she has of emotional dynamics, team chemistry, and off court press/ fan’s mental affect on players. White is at a coaching maturity apex that has seen much and through her coaching and court observations brings to the table an uncompromised sense of confidence and risk taking so needed to transform a good team into a great team. Of course many free agents will almost beg to be on Fever team. White and company will be super selective and strategic in placing and removing piece by piece that which will propel them into “scary” territory from other teams’ perspective. Go Fever!❤️🏀🏀🏀

Finally we have an actual Coach who acknowledges & recognizes how generational/ special talent C22 is… which is EVERYTHING & will guide how Fever team will play & perform moving forward. But something Coach ‘going Sideways’ could never & have never acknowledged all last year… which showed when Sides rarely openly praised C22, but instead threw her under bus all the time publicly. And NEVER defended C22 against flagrant fouls not called & repeated assaults/ mauling/ biased refs non-calls during games & post game. NO MORE! Coach White now will actually support & freely play to C22’s strengths now for 1st time instead of trying to rein her in & take ball out of her hands as floor general.

@@casilatino Saw some highlights of her in Europe, and she's doing well there. This might not mean all THAT much because the players aren't as good there, (how else did team USA get the gold) still it is good for her to practice under game conditions, and get some confidence at the same time.

@@mikehall4517 I do remember Sides putting Berger into the last game of the regular season against Washington and Berger had a chance to win the entire game shooting an uncontested shot from 15 ft free throw line and missed it. She could have made her mark and blew it.
@mikehall451717 күн бұрын
@casilatino Kind of hard to be confident in making a clutch shot when your coach kept you as dnp sitting on the bench for the entire SEASON! I don't hold that against her in the least. That's why it's good that she's getting playing time in actual games, that kind of real life experience will stand her in good stead for when she gets back home. And her play in Europe looks good. How well that will translate in the wnba isn't certain, but it will definitely help, a lot. No telling if she's going to be on the team next season, but if she is, you can be sure that White won't leave her rotting on the bench.
