This isn’t redundant, as it is possible for multiple things to be different in the same way and multiple things to be different in different ways. For example, apples, oranges, and pears are all different in the same way of tasting different, but are still fruits that people eat. However, pillows, bottles, and pears are different in multiple different ways, such as size, use, and how they’re made.

17:26 Fun fact, I actually ran into a server with Jonto on the opposing team on my very third day of playing this game, about a week ago. There was... a lot to unpack about that match. I initially went pyro because I wanted to maximise my odds of interacting with the funny youtube guy. I then got wrecked my a soldier who outsmarted my airblast spam with his shotgun, and was in fact Jonto (he only switched to spy after his other teammates stopped stacking it). Eventually I decided to just focus on the game and switched to heavy. Which I'll sum up as "I TOOK MY BACK OFF THE WALL FOR ONE SECOND, WHERE DID HE COME FROM?" on half a dozen occasions. And lastly... My team had three to four spies throughout the entire match. We lost 2 out of the 3 rounds, but I'm wondering how we even won that single one 😭

As an Epilogue, no that is not the same as a Finale, you really should make a "How to make a good Tutorial Series" video. You touched on it at 12:20, but more tips and especially the process would be really helpful. Also, I love how Spy Psychology isn't specific to TF2 weirdly enough. You don't just talk about game mechanics and techniques, but also how players think and that's really important. Like, I could apply it on some League copycat called Mobile Legends just because they have a character that can barely be invisible.

Also okay okay okay so Jonto mentioned other social deduction games and I *have* to plug deceive Inc every time someone mentions wanting more spy gameplay in other games. Bc that game is *literally* based around the disguise and trickery mechanic and if you enjoy playing spy you will definitely enjoy playing deceive Inc. plus, the soundtrack and aesthetics draw from similar eras of past cultural moments as tf2, only they veered towards supervillain/superspy fiction. It’s genuinely a really good game and I desperately wish the devs would do more to advertise it bc the only major flaw it has is a low player base

I was inspired when jontohil2 said "Our reports showed uncle dane teleporters jumping left and right... stopping and starting!" However as the antagonist attacked him, he dodged suddenly using the big earner. As Jontohil2 looked around, he was suddenly surrounded by domain comment section and thought "Man how will I take this on!" Jontohil2 proceeded to do some backflips and starting backwards jumping to gain momentum to shift modes in terms of games and then summoned a plethera of kunai knives and said "Parry this you filthy casual!". He landed with such grace and then said the famous lines of "It's spying time" as he started to dance like the spy from tf2 and said "let's settle this like gentlemen!". Suddenly.. he summoned some tf2 youtubers and commentators who gave him subway and some baguettes to fight off the antagonist spawning in blocks to parkour with and laser guns like gaster blasters. However when the antagonist tried one last move, he quickly countered when he flashed red and said "you fool... Spy has a gun!". The entire crowd went wild as jontohil2 dodged like the spy and summoned the amby, he had reverted the nerfs on it suddenly and head shot the antagonist! What a historical day it was as he dealt 102k damage... This was power that was unprecedented and he stated "For as long as I live? I'll keep mewing..." as he went off with his fans and favourite youtubers to buy some subway and suddenly, someone recognized him. There were many questions asked but one stood out as the finale... he asked "are you jontohil2 the spy!?". Jontohil2 turned to uncle dane and the rest with a smile and said "I?! Am the spy..." 6:20 | *On that topic, I got an idea for that which I think is perfect, because it fulfills that requirement without being an extreme nerf:* *-Headshots will minicrit beyond 1200 hmu (or a similar distance)* *-15% slower firing speed* *-(maybe) Spy is outlined to player being headshotted.* The first one was my only real change suggestion, the last one I added because it kind of solves the original issue pointed out by Valve. This is _not_ post-spawn wallhacks where *everyone* on the enemy team can see you, just the guy who's being sniped by the guy who can vanish without elaborating. The effect disappears after 5 seconds or something, after the Spy stops shooting so assuming he got scared and didn't kill you, you could follow him for a bit but it isn't like he's screwed until he's killed. Also I slightly reduced the firing speed penalty, because hitting headshots self-imposes a firing speed penalty to begin with. Also, perspective Diamondback changes: *-30% Damage vulnerability/marked on death when in use.* *-Stored critical hits indicated by weapon glowing.* *-25% slower firing speed.* *-10% less base accuracy* The problem with attempts at trying to rebalance this thing is people trying to invalidate its primary upside, and everyone's emotional urge to nerf it into the ground to begin with. And oftentime no other type of balance change besides "nerf crits & damage" are suggested, missing the opportunity for some actually good changes by having a 1-track mind. Making it store minicrits is by far the most awful suggestion, because even if it'd still be technically objectively better than stock for combat, that shit ain't fun at all, and I'm not just being dramatic at the prospect of such a nerf. I'd legitimately enjoy killing a player with full-rampup stock revolver over minicrits from the Diamondback with its balls removed. Anyway, the first change is probably my favorite and I have no idea why no one's ever thought of it. Most knives come with a decreased max health penality, but instead of that I decided to use the much more common vulnerability penalty (or marked-for-death, whichever you prefer) Now, whenever the Spy wants to shoot somebody with 2 crits, they stand the chance to be smited in one shot by the majority of weapons in the game. This is basically the Crit-A-Cola treatment. Also reducing the firing speed even more than the Ambassador feels like a no-brainer, and you could apply that to the reload as well. The base inaccuracy is taken from the devs' original suggestion against the Ambassador (thankfully they were slapped on the wrist by everyone for that idea) but it fits great with the Diamondback because it shouldn't be sniping anyone to begin with! One idea I left out above is *reducing the damage further.* Because I didn't know exactly what percent, but I wanted *crits to deal 99 damage.* This is still a major upside compared to base damage, and it can still 2-shot light classes, but now deals just barely under 200 damage in 2 shots to Soldiers. A market-gardening soldier who just jumped into the shadowy corner of the map shouldn't have to worry about being smited in 2 shots by a sneaky frenchman the same way a Scout is. I think all these changes combined make the Diamondback fair but still fun, because I think further nerfs to the crits or crit time is unncessesary, as everyone has this unreasonable fear of a Spy with 32 stored crits and the tankiness of an overhealed Kunai user.

And, how do you balance passion projects and your real-world responsibilities? I have so many ideas that I am incredibly passionate about, down to the smallest detail, entire scenes fully visualized, and three different 6.5k+ word scripts scrapped, yet I cannot get myself to bring the hammer to the nail. Just wanted to put this here, even if I know it's not got a big chance of being seen. I absolutely love your style of videos, especially with the Spy Psychology series. I've never wanted to main spy, as I consider Sniper to be my main where viable, but I've always wanted to at least be able to play him well enough for when I was in the mood to play him or when we needed a sneaky frenchman to sow chaos in the enemy backlines. That being said, I've never really had a good experience with spy tutorial videos. Most of them just seem so dry, and my dumb brain just doesn't absorb that information well. But your particular style of making videos has allowed me to actually much more easily absorb information and I'm now actually fairly confident in my abilities as spy thanks to the Spy Psychology series.

I guess the last sentence of the question I timestamped probably asks it the best: "What prompted you to start scripting the videos to begin with?" What compelled you to make videos either in the first place, or about spy, or both, rather than just letting them/it sit as an idea? (Oh also, I just wanted to mention, for a non-tf2 video, I would be curious if you made similar type of beginner-friendly video on tf2! (Titanfall 2, to be clear XP) I've heard a decent amount and seen some of the overlap between Team Fortress 2 and Titanfall 2, and I think it would be neat to learn about in your style, if you ever find the interest and time c:) (As well as having a little bit of wordplay potential, hehehe)

The revolver is a type of handgun with a revolving cylinder that holds many bullets. As it falls under the category of a handgun, the revolver is, indeed, a gun. Meanwhile, the Spy is a playable class from the game “Team Fortress 2” made by Valve. Known for his stealthy abilities, including the ability to disguise himself as enemy players, the Spy usually sneaks behind enemy lines and assassinate key targets with his knife, making him a classic "backstabber" character in the game; he is often portrayed as a mysterious and charming rogue with a French accent. The Spy’s default load-out consists of a butterknife that can instantly kill anyone that the Spy stabs in the back, a kit full of cigarettes that enables the Spy to disguise as a different class either from their team or the enemy team, a watch that allows him to turn invisible or “cloak”, a “sapping”/zapping gadget that allows him to destroy the placed buildings of the class the Engineer, and, of course, the revolver. As established before, the revolver is classified as a handgun which is a subclass within the umbrella term of a gun. So because Spy’s load-out includes a revolver, that does mean that Spy does, in fact, have a gun. 🔫

Good game I’d recommend, cobalt (2016). Really good game even if it’s mostly dead, the casual arcade game mode experience is very similar to tf2, especially when having dumb fun with friends, and the main story is genuinely awesome, if not confusing. Reason I bring it up is because I think you might enjoy the stealth class the game has; there’s an armor type that lets you go invisible, and the playstyle ends up being very similar to tf2’s spy.

13:39 for the record Ur doing really well In that. I don't even have TF2 download and I still watch it. Also 14:28 same dude it's as you say 'fun'. Ok that part about food is straight facts other than the sub order I can get behind the other 3 they go hard

I would like to thank the funny frog man for introducing me (and I'm sure many more) to your videos. They're incredibly well made, entertaining, and unique. I'll always be waiting to tune into the next one. By the way, you have a very nice smile.

21:01 I completely agree here, I find the game reasonably fun but if they keep adding new characters after 1.0, I doubt it'll go well.

Honestly, the 'most people aren't subscribed to the channel' thing is actually really impressive when you consider the true reach it means the videos must have.

As someone who also has Autism and ADHD, seeing your content and knowing that you, too, have an inconsistent workflow, yet you managed to make and achieve all that you did, is really inspiring to me

Your video about the dead ringer is the reason I got into tf2. I saw it and went: wait, there's a game where I can become invisible and instakill people? And I can become immune to death? Amazing. And here I am, playing scout more than spy, unable to aim just like when I started and terrible at everything but medic.

1:48 I feel like it would be nice for you to do this in community notes or as a single video. For me, the hardest part about playing spy is getting into position (I'm terrible at spy) Also I'm very confused about the outline on weapons you sometimes show in gameplay. Is it a mod or your own editing?
