Now that is a survival skill, to strip a bottle this easily! Nice! I have seen other contraptions, but to easily use a cap and a small blade, genius! In a pinch this is how to male tie string like material in the urban setting. Awesome!

Not just urban. Youll find those bottles almost everwhere if you look hard enough. Especially near coastlines. Gotta love littering... :/

Yes. I sharpened the spine of my Classic SD's file to 90 degrees, and it's and excellent ferro rod striker.
@motrock93b
@motrock93b 10 ай бұрын
@OyBOY-ig9bp It was pretty easy. I just ran it across a small sharpening stone for about three minutes. You could probably accomplish the same with a file, or sand paper taped to a flat surface. The spine is close to sharp enough as it comes. Be sure to sharpen the edge that enters the scales first when closing. If you sharpen the other edge, it will try to close on you while striking. It's nice having a striker at all times now, since I always have the Classic SD on my keychain. Recently, I tried applying greater force to the ferro rod by holding a stick against the file/striker and pressing harder. I was successful in creating larger molten metal globs which lit my pine needle bird's nest.

сказать, что я офигел это ничего не сказать! Вобщем выживание это в первую очередь соображалка и хладнокровие, а потом уже снаряга. Выживать можно и с таким мелким ножичком. Браво! Надо показать этот видос выживальщикам. Bravo! Thanks for this lifehacks! So small knife and so big oportunities!

Correct about intelligence. People can survive with NO knife, actually. Would be harder, yes, yet it can be done. When we rely so much on modern technology, we become comfortably complacent and never put our minds to learning these skills for survival. We take too much for granted, and our intelligence is spent in other areas of modern society. I say do both, a good mix could not hurt. I'm still learning these survival skills too, a total novice, but I like it and will practice in my backyard in the spring. 😁

FYI. If you want to eat a cucumber piece, you can just take the stick and poke it right through without having to go through all the trouble of making it into something fancy. It still works pretty good even if it’s not sharp. 😂

Not exactly. I've seen that technique used on sticks to be used as an arrow or spear to catch fish with, so doing that can be for multiple purposes, not just picking up food. Always try to think of MULTIPLE PURPOSES for one technique used. Don't just close your mind off in thinking it is only for one purpose. MacGyver never would've survived if he thought like that. 😁

Victorinox (inox means stainless steel) SA knife….comes with free Silver Birch log and Coke bottle.😂 Edit: UK law says no blade (tip to body handle) must exceed 3 inches and blades must not lock. Legal carry folding pocket knives must also not be carried in certain place, like pubs.
@benbrown5159
@benbrown5159 6 ай бұрын
Citizens in the UK should really pressure their lawmakers to relax your ridiculous knife laws. Locking blades would protect the fingers and hands of millions of law abiding knife owners there. I doubt the “knife assault” statistics would be affected at all. Oppressive governments prefer disarmed citizens, law abiding or not.
