Entertaining and informative, as ever. I'm not a frequent visitor to London, but when reading The Philosopher's Stone it occurred to me immediately that the "ordinary street" Hagrid takes Harry is the Charring Cross Road and that the "tiny grubby pub" they entered was the Round Table, a few feet up St Martin's Court, an alleyway beside Wyndhams Theatre. Although not on the Charring Cross Road itself The Round Table is the sort of place you only find by accident and St Martin's Court leads you into the maze of narrow thoroughfares around Covent Garden. I should add that the pub is not grubby,. It is small and welcoming even if the choice of beers was uninspiring when I last visited it five/six years back. If I am ever lucky enough to meet JK Rowling I'm determined to ask her if my deduction is correct.

I really liked that! Great edit with the scenes. Found ya by accident was watching Hogsmead and Diagon Alley tours Florida. Their vids were too fast it blurred out details. Yours was ... well almost like an actual gaze, a hesitation as if one was really window shopping and site seeing. Very cool. I need to see Pembrookshire Wales, and the Castles. Would ya ever go there to see the MOST ANCIENT of ruins. Ahh sadly my dear, for I am poor, and simply can not give.

I was working at the stage door of the Phoenix Theatre. They filmed a short scene down flitcroft street for HP and the deathly hallows part 1. The scene happens just before they change into casual clothes, given to them by Hermione from her magic bag. before heading to eat cafe where they get attacked by the death eaters. add that street in your next tour! love your videos!

For legal reasons ppl cant do that as the studio owns all rights to everything in the HP Universe. In York (where they think the Shambles is the real Diagon Alley) there is a HP shop that literally had to call itself “The Shop That Cant Be Named” or something in response to the legal thing of it lol

Joolz' vids are gems in so many ways amongst which are that they provide an invaluable ongoing guide to English as spoken on the opposite side of the pond. Today's special case: "Manky." Joolz- Thank you for another highly entertaining Joolz Guide ! I confess I knew almost nuttin' about Harry Potter beyond the names of the character and the author. I do know, however, that Boudicca was not a Saxon queen. Queen, yes, Saxon, no. She was an Iron Age Celtic Briton who lived and died some centuries before the Saxon tribes arrived in Britain. I guess it depends on which school you went to. Touché! My apologies- the truth is, they never taught us anything about Boudicca in any of the American public schools I attended. Please keep making these great viddies- so much more affordable than a plane ticket!
