The one on the right is a manufacturer defect, which is bought by private retailers, then sold on eBay. Other brands such as UGG Australia does the same thing, except their tags are marked with a red line to prevent store returns. Manufacturers in China are not going to throw away a good pair shoes just because it did not pass quality check. It is still a wearable shoe, and the minor defects are hardly noticeable.

All retro 11's suffer from oxidization and over time, even if they're never actually worn, they will yellow. It's not a 100% way to tell because the soles could be restored with sole sauce, however, I'd be skeptical of anything without any yellowing at all.

Yellowing happens from oxidation so from oxygen hitting it and water getting on it if you don't wear them and keep them Ds it don't mean yellowing is from time it's from oxygen is hitting the Icey soles
