You can buy high quality Jordan1 reps for around 100 bucks. Nikes QC is so bad even the "premium" pairs have many small defects. Charging 250 for a shoe which is very easy an cheap to mass produce is crazy.

Nike is well aware of the secondary market. So they know shoes like these will get sold out regardless of the "trend". They are slowly eating away profits from people who buy and sell shoes. Nike stocks even though it dropped is still way higher from 5 years ago. And they know people "botters" aka "resellers" are willing to pay for prices because they hold on to the shoes and wait until prices on goat or stock X goes up. But it's always a gamble. Resellers look at shoes like stocks. They buy low in hopes prices of shoes go up in the future. So nike will continue to increase prices. A- INFLATION, just because and knowing the secondary market.
