I feel like Philly is going to lead the league in QB pressures AND sacks this upcoming season. Fletcher Cox has never had a partner at DT EVER in his career with the talent that Jordan Davis holds. So excited for this upcoming season.
@t4d0W2 жыл бұрын
I think pressures is a good enough metric especially with interior guys who can contain the pocket then try bust through while the edges clean up. Against some QBs with not the best interior pass protection its going to flush the QB out towards the edges which can make it easy for them to finish the job. Reminded me last season that some defenses had great edge talent but when Tackles could keep them contained, they didn't have the interior linemen threatening to break through.

Hate that people are saying he only a run stuffer and doesn't have a QB rush move. First of all nothing a QB hates more is pressure right up the middle. Which Jordan is going to throw his man backwards and collapse the pocket . He also has a great get off and just wasn't asked to get sacks , everyone had a role on that team. I think he is gonna be a good pass rusher and take on double teams and free up other guys. Add that to a generational run stopper and a guy who can hold down two gaps. He gonna be great

I was advocating for Jordan Davis to be a top 5 pick. he is so valuable in run defense so that the defense can call a lighter box against 3wr sets and stuff. I think he will be more valuable against the pass than people think because he can draw double teams unless he is going up against one of the top guards in the league. Also if he does play 0 tech not many centers in the league are strong enough to get him off the ball. I do like getting d tackles or 3-4 defensive ends later in the draft but I think Jordan Davis just has measurables that dont come along very often, kinda like Javon Kearse. I am really glad that he went to the Eagles tho since they are one of the teams i cheer for and there was no way he was falling to the Bengals or Titans.
