@@user-lt1fx2he5s Um last time he played Wilson he won and yes it was almost never his fault. 2021 there was a blocked punt that led to San Francisco’s only touchdown - special teams error- not to mention a game winning field goal by them. 2020 Rodgers came all the way back from 18 points while the defense played horrible all game. 2019 - when he beat Wilson - you could argue Rodgers didn’t do well but the defense gave up almost 300 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns while giving up 350 in the air. Defense played atrocious. Same story in 2016 against Atlanta. When we lost to Wilson in 2013 it was because of the botched onside. End of story. Nothing to do with Rodgers.

The idea that they just drafted Jordan to be a backup is silly. He was a top 5 QB prospect in the draft (depending who you asked) that they traded up to pick. He was never going to just be a backup. Much of the reporting around 1265 Lombardi in the offseason seemed to imply that the Packers’ FO wanted to move on from Rodgers, not the other way around. **Rodgers’ himself said after the darkness retreat that he was 90% retired until he heard whispers that the org was considering moving him.** He’s only a Jet because the Packers were done with him, just like Favre. They chose to play this guy over Rodgers in 2024, they opted into this and they were right.

Let’s say that Purdy is a game manager, system QB, that needs the loaded 49ers roster around him, and for the conditions to be right for him to put up great numbers and win. As a 49er fan, I don’t believe that, but if you do, okay. I will agree, just for this argument. Well…Shanahan has been scheming for 2 weeks, so the system will be in place. The roster is healthy, so all the weapons are there for Purdy to use. It’s at home and will be in good playing weather, so there are the perfect conditions Purdy needs. Not to mention that Purdy went 2-0 (in non-injury games) in the playoffs last year as a rookie who wasn’t expected to play. Yet people are still saying that Purdy will crumble in the playoffs and be the reason they lose. Yet can’t point to a reason why, just that same non specific argument I stated above. You can’t just say he’s a system QB…the system was great enough for Jimmy G to poorly manage to a Super Bowl, and Purdy is managing it better than Jimmy did.

I had been thinking 49ers would soundly defeat Green Bay, however it now turns out that the three best 49er Offensive Linemen not named Trent Williams (#75 Matt Pryor, #76 Jaylon Moore, and #55 Jon Feliciano) who are also the only three fully-dimensional 49er Offensive Linemen not named Trent Williams, are still listed as 2nd-string! For whatever it’s worth, there is an article from Niners Wire some 16 hours ago that the RG spot is up for grabs between that lean-duck Burford #74 and #55 Jon Feliciano. Things sure look a little tougher for the 49er offense at some point during these playoffs.

The biggest upside for the packers is that they have nothing to lose and really dont have too much pressure all the pressure is on the 49ers and the bye week always causes teams to have rust while the packers are coming from multiple hot weeks so idk its going to be a much closer game than people think 9.5 is kind of crazy

This narrative about the bye week is flat out false. Sure it happens from time to time but, statistically speaking, the 1 seed is 7x more likely to reach the SB than the lower seed teams. But if you want to go down that path, the Packers are playing on a short week, travelled home from Dallas, had a limited practice schedule to prepare for a much better team than Dallas, have to fly across the country and play another away game. Definitely not an advantage for the Packers.

Nope...the Niners will be ready. The game will not even be close. The Packers got lucky against Dallas. Dallas ALWAYS Punk out in the Playoffs. Jordan Love is about to see what it feels like to get hit by a real defense. Kyle S. is the absolute BEST play caller in the NFL bar none and they have a great Defensive Coordinator. Trust me the Niners has been watching that tape from the Dallas game and they will be ready.
