He looked terrible to people who only look at the stats. Anyone who knows football saw he had the right mechanics. He was reading his progressions and the defense. He showed everything you need to be a good to great QB in the NFL. He was dealing with growing pains, lots of injuries on offense and having to try to make up for a lousy defense and special teams. He had leadership and more importantly he had the locker room. So maybe your 40 years of watching football (I have nearly 50) didn't help you actually learn what the game is about, especially at the QB position. I saw his great potential from the start and would never have called him "one of the worst" at ANY stretch of the season. But patience and hard work pays off, as well as watching film of what he did right and wrong. You should try it.

I'm 49 y.o. and Brazilian. The NFL started for us in the late 80's. Before that we didn't even now this games were being played except from movies scenes. We had a local TV station that showed us a few playoff games (mostly the 49'ers games) but couldn't show the Superbowl. We got familiar with the game in early 90's, when cable TV got popular and we finally had ESPN to show us the whole scoop. At first I liked the Cowboys (Aikman, Smith, Irwin, Sanders), can you blame me? But then I watched a wacky dude making throws he shouldn't be able to, getting hit and laughing about it. I thought "That's the guy" That's when I fell in love with the game itself and the Green Bay Packers. Soon we won a superbowl, lost one as well. Then years of almost getting there, but getting nowhere. Not good enough to win it all, not bad enough to an overhaul. Then came "12". From the get go you could see he was a special one. He wins one WITH us. I thought that maybe we could have a dynasty kinda team. But the victories became more rare (in the playoffs). The guy was a monster regular season player, but fell short when it mattered most. His ego exploded with analysts screaming "best thrower of the football ever." He got in his own way, and never won anything again. Then, almost 30 years of cheering for this team, comes this kid. Shun, at first, by the "generational talent" that preceded him, but he kept working and learning. The "metaphysics anomaly" was out the door and the keys to the car were his to drive and man...that kid can drive. Every ten years we seem to have a QB eclipse, with another one appearing to shine on the other side. Welcome Jordan. .

We real GB fans knew this year would be up and down but it had to happen because every game was a first for something. We also knew what replacing a legend looked like, sounded like and felt like. Real fans never quit on Jordan and we get to enjoy it. Haters gonna hate, but they don’t even hate Jordan, they hate the idea of GB having a 3rd guy in a row. Love didn’t ask to be drafted by GB to sit behind Rodgers, he didn’t ask for any of the Drama and nonsense with Rodgers. He just came in every day and did work. We’re seeing the true LaFleur offense now too, Love doesn’t play hero ball like Rodgers did. I hope Jordan plays for 15 more years and wins 4 rings and shoots a giant middle finger at all the doubters… Go Pack Go!

I've never heard one bad thing come from Aaron Rodgers about Jordan Love and both clearly state they're still in contact. If you remember the drama Aaron Rodgers was drafted into as the guy picked to replace a HOF QB, the two don't even come close to comparing with all of the weepy press conferences Brett Favre held or doing as Brett Favre did to him, officially retiring only to come back a few months later expecting your job to be handed back to on an silver platter. If you're a real Green Bay Packer fan, you should be nothing but grateful to Aaron Rodgers for doing the same as Jordan Love, patiently waiting for your turn in the midst of drama outside of your control and then, giving 15 seasons to the franchise, a Super Bowl, 4 MVP runs, and 151 wins.

Then they didn't play for 11 days before the Monday night game in Vegas That was followed by a bye the following week. So they played 1 game in 24 days before facing Denver. Took him 2 "normal" weeks before he turned the corner with a solid game in a win over the Rams. The rest is history

The thing that sold me on Jordan Love even as it felt like the world was crumbling down around him was the quick decision making was never wrong, even if the throw was off. It was incredible to see how fast he could process everything going on. And I'd be interested in if someone could back this next statement up with some kind of data because it's more just based on the eye test. When Jordan Love made an inaccurate throw it still looked like the right throw whereas when someone like Zach Wilson or Jameis Winston misses, it looks absolutely atrocious. Love's throws never made me go "what was he thinking." And his ability to learn from his mistakes? Does anybody remember the underthrowing the deep ball narrative from earlier in the season? Cause he's not doing it now.

100% spot on. I noticed it when he played the Chiefs in 2021. He didnt play great, but despite being under constant pressure nearly every play, he still made sound reads and never lost his focus. But what really sealed the deal for me was week 1 vs the Bears last year. I was in attendance. Been to soldier field many times as Im a lifelong Packer fan born and raised in the burbs of Chicago. Never heard soldier field as loud as it was that day. Every 3rd down the place was booming. And on every 3rd down, Love shut them all up. At one point, he was 8/10 for like 150 yards and 2 tds on 3rd and 4th downs. He has ice running through his veins which might be the single most important trait a qb can have.
