Music is a hard thing to critique because it's art and anyone can like anything they want, but here's my opinion: 1. Really love the intro, but I'd change the kicks to some softer ones, because they stand out a bit too much, but it nicely nicely blends into the verse at 0:55, REALLY GOOD! 2. From 1:00 till 1:51 very good either, slowly building up the song, 1:26 GREAT Choice of Piano!!! 3. 1:51 to 2:20 good buildup, but as for my taste, the snares could've been a bit more subtle 4. 2:20 Drop is okay-ish, could've been more varied, and the kick is kinda strong (pls don't judge me lol) 5. Transition on 2:48 - perfect! Your transition game is good Jordan :D 6. 3:43 VERY GOOD! As said befroe, transitions - master 7. 4:00 the 2nd buildup is actually better than the first one, sounds nice when repeating the last part of the sequence. 8. 2nd drop pretty much the same as the 1st one, I mean, it's okay, but not really great (just my opinion) OVERALL, Really like the song, but the drop could've been better, NO OFFENSE to Jordy, please don't hate me (have mercy) I'm not a professional either, I'm just another producer. If you liked this song more than me - more power to you, music is art afterall. Just wrote this to give Captain some honest feedback. I KNOW THAT this is his first song released to public, and I can't wait to hear more from you, don't lose your motivation to create! We will definitely want to hear MORE from you!

You make something artsy (especially for the 1st time) and if there's a comment like "this is bad" without explanation, it leaves the creator confused, like "what did I even do wrong here? God I just remembered this out if nowhere. I haven't listened to it in years but I listened to it every day biking to school in seventh grade, today was my last day of senior year. What a way to get thrown back, pure nostalgia and I wouldn't have it any other way. This song still bangs 5 years later and the king is still making music, absolutely amazing. With the new song out I've been going back and listening to all his other songs and it's like stepping through a time portal. I listened to this song a lot in middle school and it was one of my favorites. I recall it inspired me so much that it gave me an interest in creating my own electronic music, so I downloaded FL Studio and got started, and here I am 7 years later graduating college with a Music Technology Certificate off to pursue a music career. Insane how stuff like that happens, and I in part have Jordan to thank for that. There was a lot to bring me this far but I don't think I ever would have downloaded FL Studio if it wasn't for this song. So, thank you Jordan.

Indeed, I have the same feeling. But just listen to today's mainstream techno artists... There isn't any originality, but they have just managed to make it big because of luck, hard work and good marketing. Jordan's song is actually better than most of techno shit nowadays and he might actually have a chance to make some popularity to his music, since he's already pretty well known person. I can see he's really passionate about his music, so I don't really care if it's generic to my ear. As long as he enjoys making it, I wish him the best of luck on his music career!

Hey Jordan, great song! I have no idea how the new comment system works, but if you read the comments, and mine happens to be near the top, I'd like to provide some constructive criticism. The main thing I noticed was the snares in the drop were pretty loud. I felt like they shut everything else out. This was pointed out by a number of other commenters as well, and I believe it is the largest of the small flaws in this song. Again, don't be discouraged, you have a lot of talent already, but I know that whenever I'm doing something new and sharing it i prefer constructive criticism to even compliments. If you don't feel the same way then feel free to ignore this comment :) Anyways, aside from the snare, the only other thing I have to note is that the song isn't really special. I listen to EDM a fair amount, and I've grown away from trance and towards artists like Madeon, who make songs that sound different. This is just a stylistic preference, but I feel that trance is going to sound generic no matter how much effort you put into it, it's just the nature of the genre. Now that appeals to many people, and by all means, if you enjoy trance then keep making it, I just see a lot of potential for your style to be developed. TL;DR Great first song, snare might be a bit too loud at times, and most importantly, please experiment with anything you think of. As a new creator of anything the best thing you can do is try everything and find what works for you. Can't wait to hear what you come up with next! -Noah

Its good. It really is an exceptional first attenpt at music and shows how much he really pushed to make this release great. But that said, its a generic EDM song. My criticisms: 1) The song drags on a bit, don't be afraid to make a song short if you think it would keep the music entertaining and interesting (assuming this is Trance, yes I do know those songs usually last a long time, however this one remained the same with very little variation throughout.) 2) Try to spice up a second drop or add or remove layers to a song to keep it from seeming like it drags on too long. Keep the listener eager to hear more. Other Things: D A M N That logo is FINE! Pristine! The layout is good as well, but if you could try to step away from stock images with the circle bubble visualizer in the middle of the screen, do it. Dont be afraid to shake things up! Overall, I'd say this is a pretty damn good start to something that I hope takes off!!

You can make this with any DAW(Digital Audio Workstation) I use Reason, however it's rather pricey. FL studio is great for beginners, Hell some 'professionals' use it. It all depends on your talent or skill level. I also recommend, knowing some music theory, and how to build music.

Ok, time for some constructive criticism. Jordan, for a first song this is a great single but, the song seems kind or repetitive. Sort of like a slightly different repeating loop for the first little bit which slightly lost my attention and the same with the drop. It sounded like it was leading to something new but instead it sounded like a sped up version of the previous same sounding "loops". Just try to mix it up a little, throw some spice in. Other than that it was a great song.

I'm not trying to be a dick here, but just trying to give constructive feedback. The song is nice overall, and I like it. Just in the first part, the constant beat in the background was a little too loud, and it was as noticeable as the main music. It would better to lower the volume, so it would blend into the music better. Generally, the music could be better if the different parts were blended together better. Also, the music kinda changed styles a lot, and it would be better if the style was kept the same. But I still enjoyed this music! Must have taken a lot of effort!
