Sounds just like my most recent 33 years, 16 of those years fighting bone cancer and 67 surgeries. When I got diagnosed everything changed on both sides of my family I was 16 and you would not believe craziness I’ve been through WTH my family that 67 surgeries and chemo didn’t affect me as much but that’s just in my case. It was often strangers and respected people in the round rock community who even got me my first car. And now I’m single father but very cordial co-parenting broke up the day he was born and I had 3 seizures the day he was born just another late side effect of chemo but doing well now he’s 3 and I love him more and more each it’s like a fire growing each day meeting his personality he’s gonna be funny and through chemo I wasn’t supposed to have kids he’s a legit miracle

Worth a podcast ? lol got all kinds ins and outs of stories of the crazy medical world like nurses leaving post to have sex with their boyfriends and over hearing other nurses describe my clothing outside my room door to come in and hurt me. Then report it and nurse practitioner says there was a language barrier( blonde white lady who did it )all kinds of ones like that. Lemme know people say I should but not sure if there is interest

This is what happens when two brilliant minds meet with the sole motivation of uncovering truth. No hidden motivations, politics, or ego. Lex asks thoughtful, attentive questions and Jordan answers them the best he can. It’s conversations like these that move us forward as a species. I can’t express how grateful I am to have access to content like this. It has truly changed my life.

At 2:20 he gets the crux of Antinatalism wrong. Most Antinatist will agree that life is worth living, the issue is that Antinatalism argues that life isn’t worth STARTING! Not that life isn’t worth LIVING. That’s a different argument.
@bfkgod
@bfkgod 2 ай бұрын
How can you argue that it's worth living, but not worth starting? Inherently if you exist and your existence is worth continuing because it has some kind of value, then how is it not worth starting?
@mjfraser04
@mjfraser04 2 ай бұрын
@@bfkgodOh that’s simple. When a person decides if life is worth living, they make that decision for THEIR own life based on THEIR own experiences; while starting a life you’re making that decision FOR someone else without that “someone’s” consent. That is literally what Antinatalism is.

Morality as weak cowardice? Maybe sometimes but was Frederic Bonhoeffer a weak coward for standing up for morality and sacrificing everything in order to oppose Hitler and the Nazis? I don't think so. Sometimes upholding morality is the bravest and craziest thing a person can do

One of the many problems (from my perspective) with JP’s advice is that he muddies the waters and adds too much analyzation to every facet life. And I feel that this is the major component to his inconsistency and his constant erratic emotional state. I am a walking contradiction to JP yet I’d argue that my happiness level, mental state, fulfillment, and “eudaemonia” is much healthier than JPs. Yet I am an… 1. Agnostic-Atheist 2. Apolitical 3. Antinatalist 4. Never married 5. No kids Yet, here I am, an extremely happy and healthy 45-year old man who, according to JP, should be an immature mess who has no purpose in life. Peterson, in my opinion, over-steps his boundaries a lot and I feel his narcissism feeds his need to be heard with erratic deepities and his inconsistent emotional state.
@bigp6313
@bigp6313 2 ай бұрын
But you’re a useful member of society who is capable of serving your own needs, that’s pretty much his entire point. If you don’t like all the analysis from JP, practice breaking it all down and finding the actual crux of his argument. Just because the water is muddy doesn’t mean you can’t clean it up.

@@mjfraser04 that makes sense for agnostic athiest. But agnostic thiest doesent really make sense to me tho. Because if you beleive that there is a God, your saying you beleive you know. Right? Like yiu have to beleive in something to know it. Cause knowledge is in your mind. Like if I was looking directly at a tree, but I didn't beleive in my heart that it was a tree, then I wouldn't know it was right? Even tho it doesent thr fact that it is a tree, If I truly don't beleive that it is, then in my mind I don't know it is. Beleif an knowledge go together in everything. If that makes any sense.
