Rabbi, not everyone is meant to have children … those who have no desire to have them or who are physically unable, who are then forced or tricked into bearing them often perpetuate terrible relationships and conditions. To be the child of a parent who never wanted you, who is unable to raise you in a healthy way is a terrible and unnatural curse. They can learn to make wonderful relatives, great aunts and uncles and be part of extended families . They should also be respected for breaking chains of dysfunction and for the wisdom to not just follow the greater pattern when it is not their path.

@@Goldenfish-o5p - Thank you for your reply. My point was made to respectfully disagree with the blanket assertion that biological parenting is for everyone. While of course essential for humanity, is not essential for every individual. The minority who are not going to be parents also need respect and an equally honorable place within the community. It is the whole community that must bear the responsibility to be fruitful and multiply as a group, not necessarily each person.

My oldest sister and her husband tried unsuccessfully for over 10 years to have a baby. He was interested in adoption but she wasn't. At the time I felt really bad for them but eventually realized they would've made terrible parents. They weren't even that great at being aunt and uncle. God does works in mysterious ways....at least in this case.

Children give us the feeling of belonging, of being needed and of being a guide for the next generations. They are a joy, we are able to play as a child, and laugh with each new generation

Family is the original holy Trinity. Everyone has a mother and a father, it's the beginning of Life. Unfortunately it's also a huge responsibility.

The difference is clear rabbi, you’re full of love and positivity and this other guy is mocking rude and full of negativity and anger. He cannot help people in this state. Thank you for spreading the positive message, although not everyone can be blessed enough with a family I do agree that it can be one of the best things in life. 🌞

I personally don’t want children or having roots in general. It’s a limitation for the people that prefer to live fast and comfortable. Plus, as a woman, I wouldn’t ruin my body to bring someone else into existence, when I can dedicate myself to research and actually live in my own name through ages. The only ones that think that having children is an asset are the men who don’t even get involved actively in the family life.

Of course he’s gonna say a family is not a burden to him because he doesn’t have to do anything but pay the bills he doesn’t have to actually raise the kids their whole life or listen to their problems or shape their personality

If having a family was the greatest thing that ever happened to me than my narcissistic mother would not have left us when I was only five with an alcoholic and abusive father who literally beat me every day and said I was a whore just like my mother even though I was a virgin when you speak on subjects you don’t have experience on make sure you consider all people and all experiences because otherwise you sound like you’re just reading a fairytale

JESUS is the way the truth and the life read Daniel 9 and how JESUS fulfills the prophecy of the MESSIAH Now we’re ready to do some math to determine if Gabriel did in fact predict Jesus’s arrival. We’ll start by determining how many days are in 483 lunar years: 360 x 483 = 173,880 days. Next, we’ll convert those days back into solar years: 173,880 ÷ 365.2422 = 476.068 years. After converting the decimal part (0.068) to days (0.068 x 365.2422 = 24.8 days), the time prophesized for the Messiah to arrive comes out to be 476 years and 25 days. Adding this number to March 5, 444 BC-the date on which the decree to rebuild Jerusalem was issued-brings us to March 30, AD 33, the very day of the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Is this match not remarkable? The remarkable accuracy of the predictions in the prophecy in Daniel [assuming the estimates are correctly interpreted and accurate] supports the truth of the prophecy, which in turn builds confidence in the authority and reliability of the Bible.

Look at all these children that are being killed all around the world and you wanna know why people don’t wanna bring children into it ??? Seriously ? Can you tell this to the Ukrainians and still have a light heart? Or how about all those children in Gaza? ;(
