Jordan's Crown Prince Al Hussein thanks Singapore for its humanitarian efforts in Gaza

Jordan's Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II has paid tribute to Singapore for its relief efforts in Gaza. During his visit to the city-state, he also thanked the country for supporting a Jordanian resolution at the recent United Nations General Assembly, calling for a humanitarian truce in the Israel-Hamas conflict.

I'm sorry.Honestly No surprise,Notting to be proud. Because the one who Suffering is Palestine people,Gazan not Jordanian.Jordan have Notting to do with this crisis..if wanna talk about 2 state solution,this thing is already been saying for very long time ago.since the Oslo. But till now, Notting done with this 2 state .Palestine still under over power of occupation force. Every 1 hours 1-2 children's been kill. So Notting to proud off. @@hbu8012 yes SG should. I'm in the camp of "sanctions don't work" and SG shouldnt sanction anything. Previously we didn't sanction anything so it was still consistent. Now we sanction Rus quoting international value/rule based order but don't sanction China and USA and Israel etc when they also violate the order then SG looks mighty hypocritical. Seems like when SG says values based the values here means monetary value.

Singapore’s reason for sanctioning Russia is very different from actions of China etc. As you know, SG is neutral in World Politics just like Switzerland. Unlike Switzerland though, Singapore is a small island city-state, vulnerable to attacks everywhere from much larger nations - this reality is why SG quickly sanctioned Russia. RUS, a large nation, surprise-attacked UKR. As PM Lee said, this very action is what threatens small nations like SG. It is the reason why SG constantly keeps its military updated/strong/trained nonstop and is also why SG could not stay silent nor neutral about it. As for China, it has never attacked another country, hence SG just continues its policy of Neutrality = big difference.

@@skysky1977 true I agree we have too stay neutral. Thats why now we need to sanction Israel since we already sanction Russia. if we do not sanction Israel we are not being neutral. It shows we have a bias and are selectively applying our morals and values. that's why when SG sanction Russia I always thought it was a wrong move. we should stuck to the old playbook, criticise and vote against them at the UN but we should not sanction. Israel helping us set up SAF does not give them permanent immunity.
