This song means a lot to me, This was the reason I told my mother that my grandfather (64 at the time he did things) had touched me in places when i was younger(7-8). it went on for about 2 years and me being 7-8 didn't understand it was wrong- also because he was family I thought I could trust him- My whole family now knows and they've all turned against him. The police are now involved but it's not going so well. I'm hoping he gets some sort of punishment for it. I'm now scared of most men and struggle to communicate with people. Anyone who has been through trauma just know you're not alone. Your beautiful. And you deserve the world.

I’ve loved this song for many years, and as someone who has gone through multiple things like, emotional/mental abuse, being bullied, assault and aswell as EDs and dealing with dysphoria. This really means so much to me. Whatever you’re going through, it wasn’t your fault and never will be. You weren’t asking for it, you didn’t deserve it. And no matter what people say, “ It was because of what you wore. “ no, clothes do not mean consent. “ You will always be a girl/boy, you can’t be trans/gay. “ You are valid no matter your gender, sexuality, anything. No one can change who you are. “ Maybe you should stop eating, maybe then people will actually like you.” You don’t need to change for others, if someone doesn’t like you for your looks, then they don’t deserve you for who you are. “ C’mon, it’s not that bad. We’re family! “ Even if your family it’s still horrible, being family is not an excuse. No matter what people throw at you, they are wrong. You are not the one at fault and you’ll never be. You are so strong and I am so proud of you. And if you’re going through things such as Sexual abuse, self harm, Eating disorders, bullying, abuse, anything, it’s okay to speak up. It’s okay to talk to people, even if it’s just a friend or a trusted person, you can speak up. And if someone blames you for it, know that they are just a absolute piece of shit who is just completely in the wrong. It isn’t your fault. You are so strong and I am so proud of you, I’m slowly healing from the things I’ve gone through and so can you. It’ll take time and even if you don’t think you’re able to but trust me, you are so much stronger than you realise. Just for you to be seeing this, I am so proud of you. Life can be shitty sometimes but you will get through this. I believe in you :]

Play this is freaking middle schools bro I swear if someone plays this in a middle school we’re all gonna cry…. I feel like the time period between middle school and high school is the toughest because in middle school you’re changing and you want to be accepted… You also are discovering who you are, and people have expectations telling you to be mature and then to stay a kid. And then in high school you’re always stressed due to wanting to have good grades and get into college and you’re never enough for people… Trust me as a seventh grader writing this were more than enough, more than stupid academic validation, more than our body…. This song isn't just for rape and Sexual abuse. It can also be applied to people who were manipulated emotionally by someone they believed loved them for who they are. I know how much it hurts once you realise, and sometimes you don't realise they were using you until months after you last saw them. If anyone tries to get you to feel like they owe you, they don't owe you a single thing. They're probably trying to use you without you knowing. Stay safe, and don't rush into things. Most importantly, remember to love yourself.

I'm struggling with food right now. This boy and I argue and insult each other all the time. He is the popular one who initiates it with an offhand comment and I'm constantly trying to defend myself with words. One day he called me a fat bitch. I felt like I had been slapped around the face and just went pale and silent. His friends all knew that he went too far. A good few tried to make him apologise or take it back. One even left the group and apologised on his behalf and I have respected him ever since. Everytime I see him or fell down, his words burn through me. He hates me for some reason. This song is what I try to sing to the voice in the back of my head when it tells me to eat less or I need to be skinny.

It's funny that this song was probably directed towards one audience but yet, so many other people with other issues can get a message from this song. It gives another message depending on the person is what I meant, sorry. I have anorexia and this song.... just hits waaaaay too hard.

I agree. I really suffer from binge eating and just my overall look and listening to this song had me in bitter but also happy tears because it felt like home, you know what I mean? I really wish you the best of luck with your anorexia, I believe in you and you see how many other people do too! Thank you for sharing, I know how it can be hard.

All of the bullying you may get from being overweight, skinny, trans, short, tall and etc. doesn't mean anything. You have a heart under that skin and bones, you have a brain unlike the ones who bully you. You are more than your body, and unless you want to identify as just a body, you will be more than it forever. Whatever those dumb idiots tell you do not matter, you are MORE than a sack of flesh, bones and blood. You are a person.

This song is the type of song that really should be known more. This deserves the world. This song is saying what billions of people in the world bottle up inside of them and never have the courage to say it. This song spreads out to everything, sexual assault, raped, abused, body-shames, discriminated due to body type or body color. THIS song speaks out the true society we live in today. Where everyone has a tape over their mouth. And THIS very song is helping them open their mouths again.

Honestly, this song should really be played in schools. Not the video showed just the music playing. You'll see a lot of people singing the words and crying. That's how you know who's been touched in more ways than they should and it's disgusting but it's true it happens all the time and people need to accept that. People are not your toys! When someone says no it means no! As a person who was raped by someone close to me, it's hard going through everything so please! Tell someone if you've been through this, and let's spread awareness! Edit: By the way, I know the song isn't only about rape and sexual abuse yes I know that. This could also be to the people who are judged for their bodies mentally and verbally. And sometimes it's by the people close to them and I understand them all but there's so much that a lot of people don't see the big picture. This song shows so much that it's hard to put together. Some people think this is a joke when it's not. Please please don't take my message the wrong way.

Being disabled this song hits really hard because people treat medical devices as really ugly and something to be ashamed of. I have been hurt one too many times, I have seen others get hurt too many times in my life. Why is this the way the world has turned out to be. Growing up I should have been worried about what to wear the next day, not worrying about what to wear to hide my scars. I should be worrying what make up I should be wearing to my school dance not what make up would help cover the bruises. Growing up I should have been worried about if any guys likes me not worrying about if he will be the next to not understand NO too. This life is so fucked up and I am so numb that I don't cry anymore, like I am here but not HERE. If anyone needs to hear this just remember to not let them who have hurt you win. @@aaliyahetc.6687 just let the other person talk about their feelings. encourage them to share whatever is on their mind and even saying the easiest things like "i'm here for you" or "you can always talk to me and i'll listen." it's easier than it seems.

yeah, just a one word reaction is kinda insensitive, but when i talk about my problems n someone is like “oh yeah i relate. ik what it’s like and i’m sending love to u. wanna talk about it together” i feel like i’m not alone and i like that but that’s just me and i do agree that just being like “mood” or “lol me” is v destructive

Quick story time: When I was ten we got new neighbors who had 3 kids, age 8, age 14, and 16. I was ten. I would always play with the 14 year old and the 8 year old and bring my dog dash. Dash is one of the sweetest dogs in the world, he doesn’t bit, growl, or bark. Well one day I went over there and the 14 teen year old boy touches me. I didn’t know what to do and I just stood there. Before he could do anything else dash jumps up and bites him in the face and starts growling at him crazy. I then ran back home with dash and he got so many treats. I told my mom and the kid got in trouble, and a couple months later he moved away. I just wanted to tell you guys my story :) thanks
