What an unexpected surprise. Although I guess I shouldn't be surprised since they look so much more generic than the Tatum 1s. I thought the Tatum 1 was one of Jordan's most interesting designs in ages, but then the actual performance was maybe not all that. I just wish they took the ideas they had for the Tatum 1s and then developed them, instead of trying something else entirely. Ironically, that's been happening with the Zion line as well, albeit not very successfully.

Yes and I also liked the Tatum 1, despite clear flaws with its traction on dust, durability etc. but the 2 I was just shocked - for my playing style and foot shape this shoe has been heavenly 😆😆

I have this colorway and the launch Colorway and I like this one to play in more. To be fair I’ve only tried the launch Colorway once and the traction wasn’t great but on the teal ones they are really good for me. And just a nice comfy shoe that works for anything and they are still light

Can’t stand Tatum but tried these on recently and they’re surprisingly wide/flat foot friendly it felt. Also I like the full length air strobel setup. Similar to the PG 4, just lower to the ground and can say more stable. Other than that, don’t know who the hell chose to put the logo or didn’t have surrounding traction is dumb as hell. Could’ve made the shoe a lot better traction wise. I still might end up getting a pair haha.

Thanks! So they’re more like average weight, about 15-20% heavier than the Tatum 1. Umm personally I’d go Tatum 2 - again it’s very subjective here cause the GT Cut has much better cushion and traction, I just really appreciate a shoe that you can wear for an extended period with no soreness or discomfort caused by crazy cushioning.

That’s such a tough choice… On paper I think the GT Hustle 2 is certainly better (cushion, material) but for now I’m gonna go Tatum 2, it’s just a very simple type of comfort cause some modern hoop shoes are so tiring for our feet - these are perfect for me.

Very different shoes. If you prefer something lighter go with these, otherwise the AE 1 is a better shoe objectively.

Tommy, tbh I tried the Tatum ones and hated them. The padding was awful for me and they just felt like they would fall apart but thankfully these look a bit better also the 2s look better in my opinion

Just picked them up! Got the white color way, they do run long(I’m a size 10.5, but have wide feet-so I got size 11). They are pretty solid! Not much of a squeak, but they remind me of the pg 6. Very light! Picks up dust fairly, no need of a break in time and good cushioning.
