Those look so fugly that I have to think (or hope) this is a budget/price point thing. If this is meant to be in outlets & have a significant price cut, then they'll be great for those on a budget; but if the price is regular or premium then this is a very hard pass.

the design is ok I just don't like the forefoot strap. I think for a big guy like Zion they should've made a foamposite like design that is the most protection and robust sneaker design in my opinion.

I bought 3 pairs, especially as they are on sale now and so cheap. Probably the most comfortable shoes I have bought, I use them for playing and also when I am coaching badminton. ;)

I totally feel the zoom in my pair. Not super bouncy but just the right amount of energy return. I also feel the air strobile unit. Very comfy on foot and stylish.

Tempted by these. Ive been searching for an outdoor hoop shoe for awhile now, but everytime I think I found one I find them either outrageously expensive or sold out but Zions shoes always seem to be in stock where I live. Love to get another outdoor hoop shoe guide video.

I got the voodoo zion 2. I really like the sneaker. canvas material feels good on foot. the looks are amazing. I'm a heavy dude(muscle not fat lol). so I do feel the zoom in the forefoot. have no problem with the width as a wide footer.

Last years Zion1 review Nightwing wasn’t a fan of it and was kinda hating on the shoe the entire time, now this years the exact vibe. That just shows you how much love he has for Team Jordan and Jordan basketball shoes overall. Solid review, way to keep it real and call it how you see it. 🔥

That "half blue" almost white color is unique and has me tempted to cop these. I'm not to stoked on the colorful graphic panel on the heel, but the overall design and style look so dope on feet that for 120 don't think i can resist.

I got the Voo Doo colorway. Great looking shoe. First off, lots of genuine suede (but $20 more). Didn't get the bunching Chris mentioned on the strap, maybe because of the "hemp" fabric is stiffer than the mesh on the Hope Diamond colorway, so moves less independent of the strap. I'm a wide footer with short toes and these are perfect for me, very rare for my foot. The achilles pads are uncomfy but after a few days wearing around the house they broke in. These shoes really feel LOCKED IN for me, esp when you lace them to the top, but this seems like a shoe that is not for every foot.

My first impression of these was wow they look awesome, future retro and rugged even the strap with the rubber cup sole looks like your foot ain’t bussin outta there mid game 😉. But if the materials are whack those looks might be for nothing…that’s a real shame man 😞

Favourite all time shoe. I'm 6'3 220 and wide footed and couldn't ask for a better shoe. Definitely not a shoe for smaller lighter players

I thought I was the only one feeling the 90’s vibe on this. I saw this shoe at Nike store last week, the purple cw, and it took me back to the 90’s! The styling, the strap, the combination of mesh and brushed nubuck. (And the feel of that brushed nubuck) Kinda reminded me of Barkley’s shoes. Even the “Zion” on the sole is reminescent of CB34 Godzilla’s sole.

The encapsulated forefoot zoom is actually double stacked, I didn’t feel it super crazy outta the box but after breaking it in just a bit I feel it just as much as my Kyrie 8s and Jordan 36 I actually feel these are the most responsive and snappy not having any foam compressing outward the cupsole keeps everything straight up and down and it concentrates all that force into the double stacked encapsulated foam. My second favorite forefoot setup only outdone by the GT jump.

These are light years better looking than the first ones. Kind of wish they went with a full length zoom strobel or a forefoot zoom strobel with the air unit in the heel. Still nice review and can’t wait to cop the new Jordan 4 tee.

Surprised about the lack of cushion in the forefoot experienced by Chris. I got the Voodoo color way a couple weeks ago, and the shoe had fantastic step in comfort. There was also concern about materials with this color way-the Voodoo color way had great materials imo; sturdy build with an interesting patchwork design. Also, didn’t feel like it was roomy in the forefoot but I did feel like my heel wasn’t as secure as I like (though, my reference is the Kobe 5 and 6s which have legendary lockdown). As reference, I’m a slim guard with a narrow foot, so the video review was surprising for me as it relates the cushion and wider forefoot. Maybe it has to do with differences between pairs or differences between color ways. Either way, I thought the Voodoo colorway was a well-executed shoe.

Was checking out the voodoo colorway on foot doc Zach this morning. Really digging these all around.......after finishing the video I really think I only like the voodoo's because the materials on this one and the way the strap flexes the shoe is cah cah.

I am with you I like the design of the sneaker, when it comes to cushioning I think Zion is the be all end all of maximum wear testing.If it works for him it will work for anyone but then again he'll probably swap a new pair every game.

My pair just arrived today, I was surprised that they're not white, but still kinda dope. I really like the ankle and achilles support, very nice. I got the VooDoo waiting on them, glad to know it a wide footer shoe. So the padding isn't as good as the ones? I saw a review that the padding gives with the more pounds of pressure you exert So it could be a shoe for bigger baller? I can wait to see.

Chris, I was registering a trademark for myself and I came across Nike´s trademarks, sneaking at it, I found that they have registered "Zoom Air" and "Air Zoom" at the same time, despy of they using more one way than the other.

Design wise, a step in the right direction... performance.... Well Jordan brand seem restricted perhaps in the sense that all the best stuff is for the additional jordan. But to echo Chris, this should simply be a maximalist Jordan with more cushioning and more support.

Video echoes my worries about these. Materials didn't look good. Like the forefoot strap, but it's too far forward so now it bunches up like that. I'd make the midsole thinner, but I think maybe they were actually trying to accommodate a player of Zion's size. I think he has the same issue Lebron shoes have where they're overbuilt for the average person.

This may be a weird take...That forefoot strap area, especially from the top down angles, reminds me of Cyclops' visor design from the first live action X-Men movie, it looks so big and cumbersome.

Yes i am feeling with you. Same here, i've ordered them in purple color and those achilles cushions make them to the most uncomfy shoes in my life. The pressure is a pain and it hurts to walk and jump with them. Also the size came out to small. You should try them in a store to be sure they fit to you. I return mine cause i hate them. Quality of the leather is awesome and the purple color is really dope, but i can't walk in them without pain,

Shoe looks good, I like it. Seems the strap by not being stitched on would actually work, to tighten and lock in the forefoot, guess not. They give me a Melo shoe vibe the heel from the Melo 1.5, Forefoot/toebox, heel pod and shape of the 5.5 and the strap from the M6. Nice shoe

The print reminds of the old school trapper keeper or the folders with the prism holographic pattern. Definitely more easy on the eyes than his first signature. Now will we see him play in them? 🤔
