Shark as a Totem: Personality Characteristics and Life-Path Challenges

This video will teach you everything you ever wanted to know about what it means for you when Shark is one of your totems. You will learn why Shark People so often intimidate others; why their emotions are so intense and often unpredictable; why they have such an excellent gut-sense and can so clearly see into the Darkness of others; why they make excellent healers and physicians and businessmen/women; why it is that anger is especially toxic to them; and why, when they learn to honor their exceptional intuition, they so easily connect with those things that they desire.
One thing I realized AFTER I finished the video that I would have wanted to include IN the video: Predator totems are often largely about POTENTIALS, meaning that when we first begin to resonate with them, we often DON'T seem to possess many of the fiercer qualities with which they are associated. This does not mean that this creature is not our totem, but that we are INTENDED to develop these qualities through consistent self-love, patience, and WILL. So if you watch the video and find yourself thinking, "That's not how I am at ALL, but oh, how I wish I was!", it's time to ask yourself why you AREN'T yet able to be that way, and then to begin finding ways to allow yourself to move in that direction.

My Shark guide didn’t scare me though I am reasonably concerned with sharks since I often swim in the Gulf of Mexico. I wasn’t totally sure if it was Shark though I suspected...I asked him to show me his teeth if he was a shark and he did! It was kind of funny! It was like a huge toothy smile but I didn’t feel threatened. In fact Shark just swims around my aura and gobbles up “stuff”(?)(Bad energies? Things I no longer need? Idk? ) These days I only catch a brief glimpse of him in the distance and I’m not sure he’s still with me. As for Scorpio, my husband and two of my sons are Scorpios. I don’t think I have any Scorpio placements but I’d have to check. I never thought about a connection to my husband possibly...hmmm🤔 I’m feeling like he’s cleaning up my aura /field but maybe for more than that. This was so damn fascinating! I grew up OBSESSED w/sharks +foxes & orcas, but not simply a “I really like these animals” I always felt strangely compelled to know everything I possibly could about them; like I identified w/them on this strange level. My mom still jokes I was the only kindergartener who was begging to be read shark books. I’m a libra Sun Cancer moon BUT… my water MOON is in the 8H (scorp ruled) And It directly aspects my venus pluto conjunction bordering my 11th/12thH, which makes A LOT of sense cause, I’ve always identified A LOT w/scorp in my life… the themes are dead on. Specially the six sense + moving nonstop (my work mates are always making fun of me cause I’m moving nonstop but.. aside from taking a lot of pride in my work (Saturn 1H + sun mars merc conjunct in 10H) I CANT. STOP. MOVING. 😭it’s a sure fire way to lose all every momentum… plus it makes the day go by sooo much faster. But to sit down & do nothing, specially when its slow… that’s a sure fire way for me to lose all ability to focus, think.

I used to dream with sharks ALL the time. They terrify me and fascinate me as well. Last time I saw them in dreams and felt scared, I dared to punch one in the nose and suddenly felt free and that the whole ocean was now my playground. They stopped showing up in my dreams so I thought that was the whole point, facing my fears. But now I feel there´s more to it, I still feel connected to them and even identify with them a little bit (the high sensitivity, the ability to see right through people and the agressive temperament) but I´m not sure what to do with that, I never learnt to use those skills and traits in a non destructive way.

love this channel as i remember i frequently dreams about sharks. I think it is my totem animal, i dream about water so often and talking about sharks i clearly remember a dream where i am blocked with other people and my mom on a small rock island where some sharks tried to attack us, it was some kind of safe place but.. as the sun start to disappear and starting to getting dark.. one of them became a human creature, big mutation half shark and half human..in this dream i tried to protect my mom from this creature.. in an other dream I have a some kind of spiritual master that teach me how to breathe under water and after that to became my self a shark ... in these dreams i feel good ,never scared.. these are just some example.. i have a lot of shark/water/sea dreams

I believe I have a shark as a spirit guide. It's a white shark. Yesterday I went swimming and I saw a big white figure in the water. It looked like a shark. I was swimming in a lake LOL so no sharks there. But the thing that I saw, it was so real, I even saw it's skin. Weird thing is, Im not afraid of the ocean, I love swimming and I'm not afraid of sharks. But this time I panicked, and it was crazy because it was just a vision.

I'm not afraid of sharks I just have tremendous respect for them .Indeed I'm an 8th house person My Sun + Moon are in conjunction both in pisces and in the 8th house .My Mercury is in the 8th house too but in Aries and my Pluto is in scorpio .Because my ascendant is in leo I always made a joke about me being a shark because I may be a fish but I'm a dangerous one😂

Yeah I always identified with a snake but growing up I had a stuffed animal that I called shark/sharkie that thong was sacred to me I wouldn’t let anyone touch it and I slept with it for years until a cousin who was a baby got it and was sucking on it. When I found him I just took the shark and through it away and was devastated for weeks.

As everyone has shared, I repeat, I love ALL your spiritual perspectives. Yet as someone who chose to swim, snorkel dive around the world with sharks since my youth, I feel at home with sharks, on stage etc. Although this mystical Libra, I have seen sharks drawn to me, in multiple locations and especially when I lived in a location where I could free dive in the ocean daily, often alone. I developed a natural ability to free dive without equipment traveling throughout life specifically to tropical locations, volunteer ecotravel, education, compassionate adventures❤ In multiple dives on vacations with equipment, I was immediately surrounded by many different sharks. Completely calm and, I feel the energetic similarity of large dogs? Like any large animal one reads the situation and energy. Yet it always appeared, harmonious. Eels, sharks, Turtles, Stingrays, Giant Manta Ray. I was greeted Day and night dives, embracing all Marine animals has been incredible. When friends and professional divers saw this I was photographed on multiple islands with the same reactions. Eventually I realized I had no fear and there was an interaction happening between all the creatures and myself, on a deep level. On nearly every dive after moving to the island of Maui, I swam with sharks. In fact friends said often (( if you want to see or swim with sharks, snorkel with Luna.)) I led small groups through awareness, education. I have no formal training, yet those who do follow my lead. I do my research and have no need to exaggerate. I have been within touching distance of multiple sharks including Great White, Hammerhead countless. I have learned a type of communication,regarding distance that felt amazingly accurate and telepathic. At a visual distance eye to eye with Tiger shark and Bull shark they gave the tourists time to get back on the boat, gliding by to say goodbye. After seeing this mutual appreciation having snorkled along and free diving all over the World, I realized soon not everyone is prepared for this experience. I have been swimming coast's since I began walking this life and bonding with animals and,,, anyone I touch. I have deep gratitude. I married the only woman who also felt no fear and enjoyed a similar affinity, ability and awareness with all creatures. I was told by Maui elders Kahuna the shark considered me family. AND To be aware, even family needs distance... After swimming inside a submerged volcanic crater with two young sharks that followed me like an elder shark, directly through a hundred shrieking tourists. I realized,REPEATEDLY, I needed to honor and respect this image connection. Tactile memory❤ Above land or below the surface... 🌎Today, I no longer live on the Sea, yet everyday surprise family visits 🏡 Fox, Skunk, Raccoons, Groundhogs and Squirrel roam around our home, windows and hearts. Cherished. Paragrin Falcons, Hawks, Owls, Raven, Cardinals, Finches, countless birds nest and multiple hummingbird nests and the beautiful young visit or live in our garden trees, flying fence to fence stopping by to chat, throughout the day. Our Property is an open refuge, pesticide free, filled LOVE light and AWARENESS. Which is Rare in our location🏡. ✨Yesterday I couldn't resist, staying in the pool meditating eyes open as the stars rose. A magical light show. I giggle writing this, remembering the delightful bats dropping as they drank in front of me. Multiple times🤣🖐 I know the bats and creatures do this every night. Drinking from the pool I float, meditate, yoga, journey, dream and swim in while I stargazed✨🖐💫❤ We are aware in our journey and our pool chemistry. I consciously chose it as my karmic challenge, before reincarnating into this life because, I knew it would help me transform and transmute my karmic lessons from Atlantis (my last incarnation). As a 'shark', I know exactly what I want and how to get it, so when I go into 'magician mode' and something that im trying to manifest is 'delayed', I get extremely frustrated and resentful of whoever 'seemingly' gets in my way. However, I try to remain conscious that the obstacles in my life just represent different aspects of myself that still need to be integrated or accepted. I'm learning to 'follow' the smell of blood (intuition), based on what I feel rather than what I can see or think. Right, so got very little idea on any of this sort of stuff, but always felt a connection with sharks, and have been scuba certified since I was 12, having multiple experiences with sharks since...actually thinking about it, I have only had 3 dives where I don't remember seeing a shark, and 2 of them were when I was still practicing and getting my license. I have also gone snorkeling with 40 sharks 5 miles off the coast when I was 14, and of course volunteered to be the first one in the water. I have had 3 shark dreams I can remember. One of them was fairly ridiculous, basically I turned into a shark and was put to work in a mine where I somehow managed to hold a pickax and mine ice for flour (Yes I do mean ice as in frozen water, and yes I do mean flour as in the thing you make most bread products out of), before getting pulled away by a summons to court to help another shark get out of shark jail, why I was involved, absolutely no clue. 2nd one basically I just swam in circles avoiding sea mines and essentially tried to be the fastest at it. 3rd one was the odd one out, I started as a human at the beach in shallow water before swimming out, a mako all the sudden approached me, and popped it's head out of the water before diving and swimming down. After a couple times of doing this I followed, the first time I began to drown, so I resurfaced, the mako came up with me and kinda just gave me a weird look before diving again, so I dove after it again, getting further but once again failing, this went on a couple more times before I just turned into a shark and followed it to a cave. But as we reached the cave entrance it was leading me too I turned back to human, and freaked so I went to the surface, barely making it before running out of breath. But this time while catching my breath, the mako didn't return, but I found myself surrounded by other sharks, who were not quite as friendly/endearing as the mako, they did not seem friendly. So, I hijacked my dream as I do when I find myself in bad situations in my dream and teleported myself to shallow water near the beach, the mako arrived a moment or two later and seemed to want me to head back out. I saw the other sharks coming and felt It was trying to lead me into a trap so I refused this time and made my way to the beach to simply sit near the water and watch till I woke up. I have an incredibly reliable gut sense and seemingly intimidate everyone I hang around, luckily, I don't tend to hang around long. (9/10 people who know me and don't have authority over me will avoid conflict with me at any cost, whether it's just a game, a talk about opinions, etc. They just give up before they even bother trying, which is honestly quite boring.), however I have found I struggle with emotions, I repress them if they are my own, and if others come to me with theirs I tend to be quite uncomfortable. I am not a comforting guy, chances are I'll just tell you how to fix the problem and move on...from my experience, this is not what most people want... y'all are weird, just saying. I tend to pick out peoples weaknesses with extraordinary ease, and have used it to, varying effects...My first time using it sadly was used for a fairly bad/evil purpose. Basically someone on an online chat I was invited to cyber bullied me for a year and I just ignored it. One day I had enough relooked at everything she'd said, and realized her weakness, so in the public chat, I brought it up, and dug into it hard. She went silent for 4 months, before coming back, apparently I had thrown her into a state of depression and she'd been considering suicide for that period of time. I admit, I went to far looking back, and regret it, just wanted the "your an idiot" and condensation to stop, I suppose I got what I wanted... Since then I've been more careful, keeping the info to myself and thinking before I spit it out. I have also been working to help people overcome people's weaknesses and see the strengths they gained from their weaknesses, in college I have gotten lucky that one of my house mates has a similar weakness to mine, heck, basically we're two ends of the same stick as I say it. My weakness is a fear of love/intimacy/affection, and therefore I react in a very uncaring and callous manner towards others, where as he is too self sacrificing and giving of his time and energy and is a bit soft skinned. We're both working to help each other since we are both aware and both make it known to each other. So far, thinking my odd facination with sharks, may not have been for nothing lol, but only half way through the video, so we'll see if that view stands.

It was, didn't need to make any communication at all just made itself known and as soon as I saw it I knew what it was trying to tell me, I was in grief at the time, so it was pretty obvious what the message was "You gotta take this as it comes at your own pace (I'm also Taurus so there's that.), go through it and feel it." Thanks, Jose! And with regard to dreams, it really depends! Animals in dreams often have a symbolism of their own that is not related to what they would represent as totems. That being said, this kind of synchronicity tends to have SOME meaning, so even if Shark is not your totem, it likely has something to teach you at this time!

This video makes me think of a number of things. First thing is I'm reminded that predatory sharks are most active at night. I think that'd make it a powerful shadow totem. Not only is the environment alien and potentially hostile, everything is obscured from view. You do mention this, but I think that switch in energy levels, coupled with these two different fluids, would be fascinating to cover! To mangle the phrasing of a much beloved book to suit my own ends, a shark at night joyfully combines the two childhood terrors of the dark, and being eaten alive. The second thing comes from your "airless deep." It reminds me of something I started to write a long time ago, but abandoned. I'm revisiting the idea, and this has given me something to consider when approaching this aspect of it. Shark seems to be Death and The Tower rolled into one. Didn't know sharks got stereo-smelling.

I noticed sharks being brought up in conversation with my niece lately where I'm explaining to her that sharks are misunderstood. Then last night I had a dream that I was in the ocean and a shark offers to show me something amazing. Its intimidating but I accept and the shark grabs me by the ankle with it's mouth and swims fast. It holds me above the water while swimming and suddenly I can see clouds and sky and nothing else, it feels like I'm flying. It was an exhilarating feeling.

I have a question if anyone is willing to lend a hand. I’ve had several dreams of a specific animal I’ve done research and it says that your spirit animal can reach you through a dream? I’m trying to find out what my spirit animal is I have an assumption but I’m not sure. I’ve had several encounters with sharks in my dreams. More specifically megalodons. I’ve never seen the ocean in person but I’m terrified as you also mentioned. Along with astrology I’m a cancer sun, sagittarius moon and rising.

Just a bit of fun: Jinhao makes a number of fountain pens, some in the shape of animals. Like Sharks. And a certain fountain pen vendor, in honor of Shark Week, is doing a buy one, get one free sale on 'em. Not bad for ~$4. Just need to bring your own ink. For anyone who wants a physical representation of this animal to focus on, and have it be useful in daily life, there ya go. I know you already have a large list of animals to choose from, but this Shark video makes me wonder if you've ever considered the Phoenix. Dragon seems a little lonely all by himself, and the utter destruction wrought by Shark leaves space for a resurrection, don't you think?

Interesting that you bring up a trend in astrological signs and totem animals being related. I am a Cancer-Leo cusp, having both water and fire energy. My totem is the Crocodile, always has been, since I was a toddler. The cancer being water-based and Leo being firey and land-based, it almost is like a water-dragon combination so of course it would be the crocodile. Occasionally it has even gone as far back to being large underwater dinosaurs and ancestors of the crocodile. I'm unsure what the difference in the significance in these messages would be.. Anyway, I noticed a lot of similarities between the shark totem and myself as the crocodile, I think as well; People tend to avoid me because I tend to unintentionally freak people out also, lol.

I actually did a video on Dragon as a totem, and I believe I talked about Water Dragons specifically (I *think!* It's been awhile since I recorded it! lol!). Perhaps it would resonate with that Crocodile part of you. Also, I LOVE that you're a Cancer and a Crocodile Person; I've been steadily gathering astrological data for Crocodile/Alligator, and it does appear that these individuals most often have a strong Cancer placement!
