Thank you so very much Jordana, this weekend I experienced a ceremony where the black panther/jaguar appeared to me; he slowly walked towards me in the dark without taking his piercing eyes off me and when he approached, he stared at me and I did so as well, before I knew it my body started to powerfully and gracefully move as the jaguar did (he had disappeared) and I felt and I was overwhelmed by a deep confidence and disregard and contempt for other's opinion of me. Such a huge relief to hear some of these things clarified. Black jaguar is the first totem to make herself known to me. I was 3 years old and she would sit on top of my laundry pile in the dark corner and just watch me. Blunt, direct, solitary, ambush hunter not a chaser, powerful, but everything is done from a place of love. Either for a person, or whatever work I'm engaged in. Outside of my turbulent early teens, I don't speak or act to wound.

Hello Jordana I have recently had 2 dreams - the second one a continuation of the first one. In this second dream a black panther crawls into my body. I felt its presence in my body, especially its canine teeth on the sides of my teeth and its breath that affected my own breath - and the tail sticking out from the bottom of my spine, where it crawled in. The creature seems to affect/enhance qualities that I already have - but it also wants me to go deeper - use myself in a more instinctual way fully - without restraints at all. To begin with I thought it was a black leopard. But after having wacthed videos with leopards and your video about Leopard/black panther - and then this video Jaguar/black panther - it is clearly a black Jaguar. It simply is too coarse in the body and behaves differently than a leopard. I resonate strongly with several parts of your video here - I know the dark side of the soul quite well - somehow i seem to be able to examine deep into this part of us - and come out again unscathed - but more wise. Especially the part - noticing a shadowside in a person, that asks me for help - and then me pointing it out calmly, but bluntly - and then me having little patience when they dont want to move forward , and do something about it - if they persistently dont want to move - I will abandon them in the end. I know it might sound harsh for some people - but sometimes the best thing you can do for someone who stubbornly holds on to old unhealthy patterns - is to leave them. Have you heard of this occurence before - an animal specifically crawling into a person and staying there? (I gave permission to the panther to remain there) The panther strongly wants me to do something It talks about a link between two worlds two ways of communicating or sensing the world It wants me to realize this to a much greater degree in my life - as if professionally - not quite sure yet in what way. Sometimes i feel like it just sits there in me, waiting for me to encounter something in life - that it will then react to - helping me to better understand what it really wants me to do. in some way - I have accepted this dormant waiting of the creature for the right moment to act, inside of me. Some people are easily fascinated with my ease in social situations - but then also suddenly scared shitless - when I leave the group, or dont follow norms. They dont understand if I suddenly choose to stand by myself in a social setting or say something unconventional. This is however a freedom that I need - and there has been a lot of introspective work along the way - to understand and achieve this freedom. Black Jaguar made herself known to me when I was 21, I wasn’t sure then, about these traits and life lessons - now I’m nearly 42 and after so many things happening on this journey called life, it’s starting to make sense, I put spirituality on the back burner for the last 3 years to deal with some tough practicalities of life. A couple of months ago after a tough day I fell into bed asked for some help and guidance and there she was - came to me in my dreams that night walking towards me looking a bit battered but still so powerful and commanding - owning the space and came up to me and did the cat greeting rub, cheek to cheek and the whole body slam. I've meditated and written down all the details of it but I cannot seem to find much information on what it meant by a dryad guiding me toward the jaguar/black panther. At least I believe that she was a dryad. Or...should I just rely on my own journeys to teach those meanings?

That is a really good question, Brandon! What's interesting about Dryads is that they are native to Greek mythology -- not something you usually see in combination with Black Panther! That being said, folks these days often use the term "dryad" to represent tree spirits in Celtic lore, as well as in other cultures where they are not native, but the tree spirits that *are* part of those cultures don't quite align with what a Dryad represents, and so "dryad" is used. So I would start with meditating a bit on the origin of your Dryad -- if you instinctively feel that it has a certain "vibe" (Greek, Irish, American, etc.), maybe start doing a little light research into native tree-spirit stories from those cultures, and just see if anything stands out to you. You'll know it's important because it will *feel* significant, even if it seems trivial. On the other hand, you could simply consider your Dryad a representation of woods and wild. There's a great quote from John Muir that goes "Into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul". If you've felt that you really been craving some serious time in nature (esp. among trees), this might be how you'd best begin to understand what Black Panther represents for you. At the end of the day, don't overthink it or stress yourself out. If the meaning behind your Dryad doesn't come clear now, it will later if it's important, and you won't have to work for it. Sometimes it's years before we understand the meaning of visions that start us on especially significant parts of our journey. Best wishes to you! Jordana

Interesting! I say dryad because I felt that was what “she” was but I also felt as though “forest spirit” resonated. I seemed to communicate with her telepathically and she even gave a name. What a lovely experience! 💗 And yep! You can actually think of them as the same totem (since ultimately, a black panther *is* a jaguar), just highlighting different characteristics and lessons for you. On the other hand, if your black jaguar is a black *leopard*, then they are actually two different totems, and I do often see them together. A large number of folks who have one big cat totem tend also to have a second. I see lots of Tiger/Lion combos, for example. All that being said, don't worry too much about "typical" -- just give yourself permission to go with what feels right for you, and that will keep you open enough to receive and learn whatever is intended. Wow. Jordana, if there was ever a time for me to hear this message, it is now. I have had owl as a totem my whole life, as well as bear and hawk, only within the last ten years has black jaguar been sensed in my peripheral. I have learned this is sometimes the case. I have been afraid of my own power for along , long time. But I also know this journey has been very hard to teach me lessons,, so that when the time is right I will be more able and deserving to be more of a conduit for knowledge and power. I do not seek power for personal gain, though I have been selfish at points in life. I have been searching inward since a very young child from a broken home, where intense emotions ruled. At a young age I had to start learning what was going on. I have always had a tendency towards the "occult" ..and philosophy with a strong compass towards what is..good and true and healthy. I am very direct, and I know my words can hurt, and yes I am exactly the one to get right to the issue and let someone know exactly how I feel and what I see is the emotional psychological problem in front of them..because I have spent much time knowing myself. I know I am not always right, and life has humbled me..Temet Nosce..is the latin saying. I do have the problem of being more in spirit than in earth, and yep, I have been poor for a very long time( I do bathe and try to take care of myself, I'm at the age where experience becomes wisdom, and I know power and love comes 'through" all of us, not necessarily from us. I had a dream where a jaguar came out of the woods when I was with a couple of my closest friends. They backed up, I stood in my place and it approached me. I looked back and the cat kept opening it's mouth like it was going to bite me, but I think it was just trying to intimidate me. I backed up a couple times but eventually I stepped forward and yelled back at it. It eventually calmed down and became like a familiar. It followed me around and stood back as I went about daily interactions. It was really cool. I've started hitting a really bad depression prior to my dream last night and finding this video. Thank you. I've been feeling like a victim...the jaguar reminded me I'm not. I can do anything if I stop trying to live my life through others.

That's something no one but you can know, Optimism. The way in which we facilitate healing in others is 100% dependent upon not only what comes most naturally *to* us, but what feels genuinely GOOD for us. I always tell folks who want to be healers to do two things: 1) Find yourself a very good therapist who makes you feel heard and validated, but still doesn't let you get away with avoiding facing your traumas, and commit to monthly appointments. It is through healing our own wounds that we best understand how to help others heal. Even when we are working with crystals, for example, we need to develop the emotional awareness and experience to understand what someone *really* needs, as opposed to what they might *say* they need. Two, there are certain things about the healer/client relationship that we simply cannot understand until we've experienced them for ourselves (Feeling desperate for our counselor to be there for us, for example, and having to accept that they can't, or that we can't afford to pay them. People will use you up completely unless you learn how to set boundaries and charge for your services, and we best learn how to do this with someone who has to set boundaries with *us*, and whom *we* have to pay). And if you don't feel that you need therapy, think of it as a chance simply to understand what it feels like to be the recipient in a professional healing relationship. This is invaluable experience. 2) Give yourself permission to explore *any* method that calls to you and feels fun, without needing it to be THE method, and be okay with being confused. We're ALL confused at the beginning (and middle, and sometimes even when we're supposed to be "experts"! Lol!). If the method makes you feel energized and happy, keep exploring. If it doesn't, drop it, no matter what ANYONE tells you. My own healing work represents a combination of numerous methods that I've learned over the years, so you don't have to stick with just one either, though this is perfectly okay, too! And if you don't have ANY idea at all what kind of healing work you'd like to do, just do the first step (therapy) until you do. A great therapist will help you understand how you would best work with others in a way that supports your own health and happiness. This is vital knowledge whether we're providing Cognitive Behavioral talk-therapy, or we're doing hands-on energy healing or facilitating a shamanic journey. I couldn’t take the characteristic out of my head for the whole day. It kept coming back a back again. My black panther girl came to me during Holotropic Breathwork few years ago. I didn’t have any knowledge about totem animals. Usually and how typical it is, during the Holotropic Breathwork I got the whole knowledge without knowing it. I just know what to do, how to behave, what do I have to ask her. Part of the Holotropic Breathwork group were few shamans who were very well educated in this topic and they were surprised about my experience. Anyway, it was magical and it is always nice being connected to my girl. Thank you again!

I've been confused for a while about if I had a jaguar or leopard totem. Both melanistic and spotted variants have been very prevalent in my life and many vivid dreams and meditations. This is amazing. Thank you so much for these videos. I have gotten very strong messages the last two days about Jaguar and moth. After seeing a Black panther appear in my basement I was looking at info with my sister about it...then I looked down and there was a stuffed animal Jaguar sitting by my foot!! I’ve had strong experiences with moths so when I found your video and started watching it, going through/cleaning my closets at the same time, I pulled out a shirt from a bag of clothes someone had given me and it had a moth on it and it said “Be You”. I was having a very rough, desperately lonely day today. I’ve been in a reclusive state with intense spiritual and psychological growth for over two years now.
