It's a real phenomenon. My first dance as a married person was, "Eyes on Me" from Final Fantasy 8. My partner and I just enjoyed that song. We trained with a dance instructor to learn a waltz and match that songs rythm. The crowd at our wedding reception loved it. I never post the video on KZbin but I hope someday some folks who were unaware will eventually learn that song wasn't just any song but a video game.

@@MakimaSimpCults honestly I haven't played a Zelda for years until I bought my son a Switch for his birthday. It stays at my place and when he goes with his mom it stays with me. I played Skyward Sword, then BOTW and now I'm on TOTK. I honestly enjoyed them all but I don't see myself playing them over or playing them at all had I jumped straight into TOTK. I get why people absolutely love the game and some hate on it due to the story and inconsistency from the 2 being it supposed to be the same time frame only a few years apart. That and the fact that I didn't play it when it came out then waited 6 years for the next one. I literally ran through them just to play TOTK which I think is phenomenal.

I loved how it had the ocarina as such a major piece of the game too. We used to all meet at someone's house to figure out how to beat the temples

You gotta search for the games where music matters to the game, and its story

I don't know what you mean when you say "in the time"? As in, back then? Back then, music played a huge role in much of the music. Nothing can beat those days. Killer Instinct's actual musical album is also a masterpiece. And the last great musical piece ever created for videogames, Halo's theme song, was the last time we'll ever get another masterpiece piece of music for any videogame era. There's nothing that's come out since that I can think of that has had any sort of impact.

I disagree, up to the ps2 era not just music but audio design played a major role in game design, something that has abandoned in AAA games at least.

For some reason the background noise of the people adds a certain and delightful ambience to this wonderful performance. Thanks man

You, in another 50 yrs, at a reunion.......... When a soft medley plays over the hall..... and you feel your ears perk up! A smile comes over your face and a calmness you haven't felt in decades takes over. A calmness unbound by paying bills or being on time for work everyday. A feeling of bliss that only a carefree youth could feel. You remember a person you once were......

As a Gen Xer that just turned 44 I’ll never forget that first Zelda music for original Nintendo. The gold cartridge. The “north west south west” through the forest.

Wow, just wow… Zelda’s lullaby actually brought a tear to my eye. If I saw my girl walking down the aisle and that was playing I would be a mess. Flawless.

Music is such a powerful thing. I immediately got hit with nostalgia and didnt realize I had tears rolling down until 3 minutes in. I was fully immersed. Thank you.
