I have watched over 10 quilting videos, and your ‘how to quilt’ from beginning to end provided sufficient detail for me to complete a T-shirt quilt. As a beginner or one-time quilter, you described other options/methods, which was not only educational, but also encouraged me to want to attempt to make more quilts. Thank you, thank you. The mother of one of my daughter’s oldest friends (since Kindergarten) just lost her 5 year battle to ovarian cancer. The mom was in the middle of making a quilt for my daughter’s friend’s daughter (her granddaughter), using the granddaughter’s receiving blankets from when she was a baby. (The granddaughter is 13 now.) Sadly, she did not finish. She got all the blocks constructed and sewn together and was in the process of quilting the backing and batting in between. When my daughter’s friend came to me and asked me if I could finish the quilt, I was both truly honored and terribly nervous! I sew clothing for my own granddaughter; I crochet afghans, but I have never quilted! Thank you so much for this in depth tutorial so I can finish a very special quilt designed by a very special angel in heaven. ❤️

And if it's for a special event, add that info & the place. It can be handwritten on a fabric remnant with a archive pen or printed from the computer or embroidered - whatever works for you.

I too love how you make the calculations simple-lots of rewatches but the lightbulb finally went on!!

The borders idea is brilliant. It’s really going to make my quilt pop

You are so easy to follow. No nonsense chatting I understand everything you explain. If I ever head south through Oregon again I hope I can stop in. My daughter lives in Bend and I want to see the Sisters Quilt Show. Are you ever there?

Love your tutorials! I'd like to see how to set up and use the long arm.

When I try to stitch in the ditch, I took your advice and stitched around the edges first. Every time I have done this I find that my backing bubbles up and I get HUGE wrinkles in the backing! Are there any recommendations??

I’m a long time quilter with a stack of pieced tops that might get finished now! Thank you so much for this great tutorial!!

You are by far my favorite quilter for tutorials. Very easy to follow along and you do not leave things out. Alot of times I find myself talking (cussing) at the video because I have so many unanswered questions. Sometimes it causes quite the commotion because the entire family comes running to see what is wrong. Oops... Thank you for allowing me to get through this binding without a bunch of yahoo's storming my sewing room. :)
