There's a lot of hate in the comments. I can tell most of you guys dont travel. Jordan is right about women overseas. They're much more traditional and loving as opposed to women in the u.s. Maybe change a few things about yourselves to have better options gentleman. The grass really is greener in Europe.
@michalovesanime2 ай бұрын
Did you watch the video? He literally said the opposite about where he is and he only has experience with his Dutch girlfriend. His girlfriend is LESS traditional. She is independent. How is that traditonal? He said they are partners and EQUALS. He said things like " men is protector" stuff is something he had exprience with in the US not the Netherlands. Some of you just hear what you want to dont you? Theres nothing traditonal about a country of highly educated women, who work even if its part time, make their own money and value independence Just say you dislike American women cuz since your conclusion doesnt fit the video , you obviously have different motives to take something completely off from this video
@crwnofenlightenment2 ай бұрын
@@michalovesanime I did watch the video. I don't agree with Jordan when he refers to his girl as his partner. Submission is a requirement on a woman's behalf to her husband. However, I do agree that the grass is greener on the other side. My girlfriend is European, and it's honestly the best relationship I've ever been in.

So you've noticed that people in Western Europe (in particular women) don't value a materialistic lifestyle. But you could have left out the "in particular women" part, because in general most people have this mindset. It is also the reason, why the credit card is not that popular in Western Europe: most people buy from their savings and don't like debts. That is something also ingrained in the culture: not in everyone, but in most people. You don't buy to show off, but you buy to fulfill a need (while comparing quality to price). And the Dutch like it cheap! 🤭 So, the focus is on other things in life: family, friends, loved ones, enjoying life, improving yourself or your surroundings. And I greatly appreciate that: having a simple, but happy life!
@luckysparkle7382 ай бұрын
I beg to differ . I find the Dutch extremely envious, greedy & cheap . Don’t fool yourself on them not being materialistic… this is a myth
@KennotXYZ-yk9tj2 ай бұрын
@@luckysparkle738 Aren't we all human and have the same pitfalls? And don't we all like new, shiny things? But it is how you prioritize things in life. Showing off doesn't really get you anywhere, while financial literacy does (sadly this is sometimes confused with being greedy and cheap). Like I said: not everyone has the same mindset, but most people do! Believe me, after some decades in the Netherlands: I know!
@luckysparkle7382 ай бұрын
@@KennotXYZ-yk9tj sadly the bunch of Dutch I have met are not financially astute enough . Everyone is always talking about how much money they saved … but nobody has any . I don’t know a single Dutch person who works a full time job. The only people who appear to work fulltime to me are the business owners. Everyone constantly complains about immigrants taking their jobs and their housing … however … it is mainly the immigrants doing jobs the Dutch don’t want to do … Or continue their education so that they can get the positions that “ immigrants are being heavily recruited for “ . This has been my observation in a very limited amount of time .
@KennotXYZ-yk9tj2 ай бұрын
@@luckysparkle738 You said it yourself: "my observation in a very limited amount of time". So, you haven't experienced it yourself and based your conclusion on just "an observation" or on "people, you superficially KNOW". You summed up some of our pitfalls, including one you just blindly stepped in: drawing conclusions based on "just observations and assumptions". Life is a learning cure: embrace the change! My last words on the subject: In the Netherlands we have a phrase: "Doe maar gewoon, dan doe je al gek genoeg", meaning: "Just act normal, then you're already weird enough" - don't brag or make yourself look more important than someone else and then expect to be treated accordingly. So, showing off is, in general, looked down upon. Need I say more!

I’m not from the South, but I’ve always followed the sidewalk rule. I just see it as looking out for my loved ones, ready to protect them from anything that might come from the street, whether it's a car or something else. I started doing it naturally because I’m always thinking about safety. When I met my wife, she mentioned it’s a common practice where she’s from, and she was impressed that I already did it.

We did have the sidewalk rule in Poland too. But that’s part of etiquette that’s been long gone. I’m sure it was so ingrained in men from our grandparents’ times (and for sure in pre war generations) that they wouldn’t even think about it. They’d just do it. Your story showed me how much the South is traditional and in a way it’s impressive. But those rules are dead even in Eastern Europe, which is perceived as more traditional (it’s not so much, really. Also, what you said about western women applies to eastern as well. There’s little differences in that aspect between european countries. Especially those that are part of the EU, because people travel quite often between member countries.

I understand and it was made clear that this is a video about assumptions. A lot of this is indeed just assumptions. The door opening thing is generational. I am a millenial and till this day I have (young) men open the door for me. I often hold the door for other people too, and Ive had women opening and holding doors for me just to be nice Women are more independent because of policy from the last century that helped women maintain a normal level of independence, even when they are mothers. There are a lot of part time moms out here. We still have issues with gender inequality. It seems like you think US women are equal to men so Id get why you think this. Id advice to test your ideas with the research on it. Women arent equal to men yet. Its better here than a lot of places in the world sure. But there are still ceilings, theres still sexual violence etc thats not equaly devided between men and women. More things can be true at the same time and the sources of inequality arent apparant on their face, its hide behind housework/childcare devision of labor etc

I am intrigued and looking forward to listening to this. I am a black Nigerian/ British woman who has resided in Britain for over 40 years and before I went celibate (for Christian/ Religious reasons), I dated within and outside my race. Mixed relationships are so common here in Britain - its like - if you blink twice you'd miss 10 mixed race couples walk past you. 😅 We have mixed relationships everywhere here in the UK. Hence why Harry and Meghan's relationship was popular here - as they reflected our Multicultural Nation - but sadly sections of our Right Wing Press/ Media drove them out with their constant negativity and "R" word - which they levelled relentlessly against them. Those UK Press and Media Platforms don't represent the silent British Majority who still love and miss Harry and Meghan but we understand why Harry prefers to protect the love of his life and kids in America and away from the T@xicity of sections of our Press/ Media and other groups😢 Anyway, I'm intrigued to hear things from the perspective of an American dating in Europe. So shall watch the video now. I can already see the young man's lost his tan - probably the lack of Texan heat/ sunshine. Happens to all of us. 😅❤ I told a white friend that black people tan too, he argued with me, so I took off my wrist watch, (which I barely take off) - he's face was a picture when he saw the difference, between the skin under my watch and the rest of me 🤣❤. That applies to even the darkest person of colour. People may not notice but if you are good with skin tones you will see the difference - I just watched a video of Jordan saying he'sd recently arrived in the Netherlands and you can see the difference in his skin tone in this video. Also he appesrs to have lost weight - probably all the walking and cycling they do in the Netherlands. He's skin is glowing and loks healthy. God bless Jordan, his girlfriend (whose name I will find out soon), their famikes, loved ones and friends. Now to this video❤🙏🇬🇧🇳🇬🕊✝️
