I figured that ending was coming. Nobody is ever able to escape a cult. Great story and narration, thanks for another on the edge of your seat story

Sometimes they make it out….the church of Scientology’s “sea-org” cult has had several members, some key celebrities and other important roles, leave their cult. Also if you look at drug cartels and other organized crime gangs as cults, which many kind of are, quite a few folks make it out.

People actually do escape from cults

I'm still confused about the difference between a cult and a religion... if anyone wants to clarify that for me, I would be much obliged. (Serious, not just being an asshle. I really don't know...)

@@TraciPeteyforlife I think its really hard to escape though. If someone doesn't want to be there WHY dont they just let them go

Just found your channel and have been binge listening to your videos! I would absolutely love to one day get big enough to do a collab with you. I create audio dramas on my channel, and I think your voice would go really well in an audio drama. You're really talented! Wish you more success.

Thank you! That's very kind of you to say! I'm working on some more audio dramas as well with multiple cast members, it just takes a long time to get it all to come together.

@JordanGrupe That's awesome. Yeah, I know what you mean. I do it on my own now and it takes a good month for me to get it to where I feel confident in releasing them. I'm looking forward to listening to your audio drama. I'll keep a look out for it!

Jordan, I was thinking of starting a creepypasta channel myself and if you wouldn’t mind sharing, I was wondering: What’s the CPM for channels in this niche? I imagine it’s around, like, $1 or so….?
@JordanGrupe Жыл бұрын
Anywhere from 4 to 11 usually IMO

@@JordanGrupe man, WHAT? That’s awesome! Much more than I expected. You got any tips on starting out? Things you wish you’d done differently, etc.?
@JordanGrupe Жыл бұрын
@@poklar Stick with it and stay consistent with posting. I've been doing it every day or every other day for over a year now, and it's a lot of work but also a lot of fun. I wish I had learned to make better thumbnails right from the start, I think that's the one thing I would go back and tell past me. And to get a dog clicker to save time when editing. That was really a game changer. Basically it's just a noise that you make with a device that acts like a directors clapboard or whatever its called but in audio form. It shows up as a sharp double spike on the audio editing software, so you can just pick those out to fix the errors rather than listening to the entire thing start to finish and trying to find errors manually.
@poklar Жыл бұрын
@@JordanGrupe That’s cool, man. Thanks so much. What do you use to edit? I’m thinking I’ll stay open source. Audacity and Openshot, probably.

Seems to me the hardest part would be to write solid and engaging stories nearly every day. Jordan you make it look even easier than most but that's deceptive unless you have an imagination which keeps on giving and you can set it all down. To me that seems like it would be the biggest hurdle of all. Thank God for your channel sparing some of us brain ruptures. Some people have the gift and some don't and I doubt it can be learned. Btw the writing in this one is so effective that I really really hate Steve with a passion. Lucky for him he's a fictional character.

I hope he at least tried to get away, he was a man after all, and she was a woman… he could’ve knocked her glasses off ffs and struggled to take control of the car. I mean, sure it’d be dangerous, but he was as sure as dead if he went back to the commune. Just saying.
