I'm 62 and have had pigeons of all kinds "" off and on "" since I was 14-15 years old. Ferals -Barn pigeons- Bridge pigeons are all pretty much the same birds and come in a huge variety of colors. I've also had a few feral pigeons in with my bona-fide Homers that flew home just like the homers. I've had a few that always came home, but a day later than the rest. I've read a few articles that stated that feral pigeons are the ""Super Pigeons "" of the world due to the different types of pigeons and blood lines and genetics they have! All very serious stuff! I was raised in northern NJ in the shadow of NYC and at one time the hotbed of Pigeoneers of all kinds. You're very inspiring and I'm glad I found your channel. I live in Amishland middle of PA theses days. Take care of yourself and safe travels and God bless!

In my opinion I think the feral homers make the best racers they are better at finding food and evading hawk attacks and they also have the ability of gliding from the air directly into the loft without landing first, I always thought that was cool 😎
