@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu wasn't sure where to post this but I would love to hear your opinion. You like to pull guard / ankle pick. It is a solid 1-2 and I thank you for the info. Question. Do you ever arm bar straight off the guard pull attempt? Thoughts on this?
@JordanTeachesJiujitsu Жыл бұрын
@@phredbookley183 not really a one two because you're never attempting to pull in the first place, just selling it. It would be more similar to feinting the jab to land a cross. Similar but different. Ya definitely. I've done that before in competition. However good grapplers can usually position themselves to prevent an immediate submission off the pull. In general against good guys an armbar from the bottom is low percentage. Bluebelts and such not as hard.

I love how every time you describe someone in the voiceover, you're showing them respect and compliments. I imagine they enjoy watching your videos (especially the ones they're in), and that probably means a lot. Even if you trash talk them while you're rolling with them. Which probably means a lot, too.

It's quite interesting to see that everyone is going for legs to go straight for guard, since he's blindfolded it would be easier to take another approach from an angle. I think it's just difficult to think outside the box when everyone's used to going for legs to pass guard when ignoring them isn't usually an option

Hi Jordan! Thank you so much for your amazing videos! I was wondering if you could touch on the topic of avoiding positions that can cause serious injury to the neck. I’m 2 months in to bjj and recently after a failed triangle choke, I was stacked with only my neck as base and felt that at any moment my partner could have broken my neck if he decided to put his weight on me. I’m a bit shook and want to avoid situations like this at all cost. If you can make a video on how we can always avoid being in these extremely dangerous positions, I would really appreciate it!🙏 thanks for all your amazing content!

Thanks man! Sounds like a great video idea. I do have that content available in my mat safety course, but it won't reach the same amount of people as if I made a youtube video about it. Now that you've suggested it, I think I'll make that video sometime soon. Spreading awareness for safe training is super important to me. Everyone should train safe. Sad to see so many reckless people.

Hey Jordan, how many white belts do you think you could take on in a row until you got tapped from exhaustion/mistakes? Can you do a video like that? could also do blue belts?
@JordanTeachesJiujitsu Жыл бұрын
Hmm I'm always confident so it's hard to say if it's confidence or delusion ever haha. But I think it would take quite a bit of whitebelts to make enough mistakes while tired for them to capitalize. Blue belts it would be more difficult, especially depending on size but I think I could go through at least 50 if it's a new opponent every time I tap one. Would be a great video! Hmm 🤔
