The older cs6114 actually uses a piezo located in the microphone, which is why the cs6114 isnt loud.

2:55 people like the Panasonic phones with AAA rechargables because it's easy to obtain rechargable batteries locally. Alot of people do not like going online, whether it's because they're old, don't trust using their credit card online, or don't know how to use computers. I mean, the target market for cordless phones are typically people who don't use cellphones, like seniors. AAA rechargable batteries can easily be found at Walmart or Best Buy, not the proprietary battery packs.

That makes good sense, but I can't imagine that portion of the population is that large anymore. Physical in-store shopping seems to be on a constant decline.

I used to have that phone but sold it a few years ago since we switched phone and tv service and now we have at@t home phones running through a motum.

I cannot figure out how to set the time and date. I am about to go insane. I try following the instructions and I am not a person who normally has problems like this. Please tell me how to do it. Many thanks. I am going insane trying. 😅

Open the menu and scroll to Date and Time. Press Select and adjust the characters using the number keys.

I just bought this phone and cannot believe that there is no speaker phone button. The sound is also very low when listening to calls even with the volume on max. This is crazy. I think I'm going to return it because if I can barely hear the calls when talking, what's the point?

It sounds like you ended up with the older model, the CS6114. It must be defective, while there is no speakerphone, the volume is plenty loud.

No it doesnt. They ruined the design. They could have just taken the 6114 and add the speaker function. Voila, no complaints at all. A REALLY GOOD PRODUCT! Well done! But no, always fuck it up. WHY!

Vtech's manuals are a complete joke at this point. Between 2019-2021, they didn't even provide manuals at all with their new models! Not sure why Vtech (and AT&T and Panasonic) is selling several of their models under multiple model numbers. For example, this model is also sold as the CS6314, so its CS heritage carries on. They also sell this as the CS6214, so this model has 3 model numbers which are all the same phone. I have no idea what the point of that is.
