@@dandieabbott5409 Its stupid crazy. Cause its basically a song only people would have previously heard if they bought or at least listened to the full album. Shit must have been put into a movie or something. Something must have happened to it that it became so mainstream. It also helps that its one of eminem best songs ever made imo.

@@flapdrol75 bro english is my second language, I listened to this song for years and only recently I actually took time to really read and understand the lyrics. But it was always my favourite Em's song for some reason. The beat, the fucking aggression and rawness of his voice, the flow, the overall emotion coming from this song. It's just amazing. That should tell you how good this song is and I bet there are tons of people like me out there. TES was special.

The lyrics are not correct in the minimal swap line. It’s actually supposed to be “villain” not fillin. “The criminal, cop killin, hip hop villain…a minimal swap to cop millions of pac listeners.” He’s saying that being labeled the criminal, cop killin, hip hop villain is a cheap price to pay (or minimal swap) to scoop up tupacs fans. This is probably the dopest and most slept on bar in the entire song.
@prisonerofthehighway10596 ай бұрын
The swap to pop listeners line is probably referring to Eminem basically taking rap fully mainstream. Hip hop was always a “black thing” but some of the greats pushed it out to the wider audience. I knew kids in the corn fields that were bangin Tupac, Biggie, Dre and Snoop. Guy’s getting shot and locked up around the time that Eminem came through like tornado and picked up the whole industry and dumped it in the mainstream. At least half the white people I know that like hip hop got into it from listening to Eminem. He’s like the gateway drug.
@wilky9527 ай бұрын
In the "criminal cop killing line", I think he is talking about how hip hop music was primarily about being a gangster at that time, he tried something a little different and the fans followed. A nice double use of the word cop.
