A member of his group from D12 named Bugz is the one who died and Proof was the actor playing the part who was Em’s best friend but sadly 2 years after this song was made Proof was shot and killed in a pool hall and Em can’t watch this video anymore.

@@iononharris yeah I know but he was acting in this video and he also acted in the movie 8 Mile although it was a small part. Trust me I know all about Proof and Em. He was playing pool in 2006 when he got into an argument and was shot and killed and although Em was always on drugs, his drug use got really bad after Proof died until he OD’d in 2007 and nearly died but his daughter found him when he was 2 hours away from death.

Proof was playing the part of ( BUGZ an original D12 member he was there before eminem was D12 bugz was a real G he got shot and died proof and bugz was real close back in the day aswel just like he was real close with eminem so proof wanted to play bugz in this video and just over a year am sure maby 2 years max ( more confident it was like a year) later proof got into a shoot out in a club and died ( apparently the guy proof got into shit with and started fighting with in the club guns got pulled shots from both side happened and the other guys cousin proof got into it with was the security for the club and he's the 1 that apparently fires the fatal shot that killed proof unfortunately) when proof died eminem went off the rails as that was his best friend from childhood and eminem hit drugs hard closed everyone out and he overdosed and nearly died and then he got sober off drink and drugs and had to learn how to rap again as he had never done it sober before so it took him a while to learn the craft again ( he raps about it most of his old shit is all about his life and even now in the newer shit she still spits about what it's like ( not full tracks like he used to more a bar hear and there now and again he still spits facts ) mgk warning u all need ja benzino reminders if u mention hailey you die

The point of the song is anti street violence. Toy soldiers is him saying people-kids are killing kids-people in the name of clicks. Gangs were started to fight government corruption, then they started hating eachother.

The CRAAAQZY part about this is that Em's best friend since forever, Proof, who played "Bugz" in this video actually ended up shot to death too, about 2 yrs after this song was released. RIP Big Proof!!! He was the one who helped Eminem to get on stage in the rap-battles in Detroit and stuff. Without Proof I seriously doubt Eminem would have become who he is today. For real. This and Mockingbird is probably the ONLY Eminem songs I fw. Realest song he ever made. Benzino(later in the song he mentions the dusting off of his mic) was one of the guys at the Source magazine that Em had issues with. Benzino is a legend, don't get it twisted, but he stepped in lava going at em. He also mentions someone bringing up Haley's name, and that was Ja Rule who did that, but he didn't even say anything crazy. He said, "Em you claim your mother's a crackhead and Kim is a know smut, so what's Haley gon be when she grows up?". He implied something, but it wasn't crazy. Em also said "I went through my whole career without ever mentioning Suge(they bleeped that out)", which is why he was talking about Dre saving his life by signing him and Em wanted to go at Death Row.

So, when u see early hip hop, they had a beat machine. They would record a beat to the sampling machine and mix it with other song samples to make the beat and rhythm. It always was that I could be wrong. Think Sugar Hill Gang played instruments, but that's my experience. Will gladly learn, though, if I'm wrong.
