Linares is 32. I think he's at the end of his prime. Compare this fight to Loma-Rigo (Rigo was 37), Wilder-Ortiz (Ortiz was at least 38), Kovalev-Ward (Kovalev was 33 and 34), Canelo-GGG (GGG was 35), Hurd-Lara (Lara was 34), GGG-Jacobs (GGG was 34), Mayweather Pacquiao (Both were 36 and older), Klitschko-Joshua (Klitschko was 41 I think), and this fight is actually the closest thing to a big PRIME fight that we are ever going to see in boxing these days, apparently. I wish it wasn't the case and more guys fought each other 31 or younger, but boxing is a corrupt bullshit sport so it is what it is. But this is not the fight to complain about that. Linares is 32. That's the end of prime. That's the cutoff. So, it's acceptable. But anything older than that, I would agree with you. 33 is too old, for sure. But 32 is borderline.

Boxing Facts Over Fiction except that's either your own bias or your misunderstanding of what you see. What Loma did to Rigo was a great historic win but Rigo is not Linares. Linares is what, 3 weight classes bigger than Rigo, probably 4 weight classes bigger naturally? Even what Loma did to Walters and GRJ, again, Linares is way bigger, and longer, than them. So you are basing your assessment of what Loma did to guys his size (except for Rigo who was smaller), and saying he needs to do the exact same thing to someone much bigger than him, otherwise he's a hype job. That's not how boxing works. When this fight is harder for Loma than you think, you're going to say Linares is super underrated, and Loma is underrated, when in reality, Linares is just bigger. Don't forget that.

Before the fight all u heard was "rigo will whoop loma, rigo will expose him" blah blah blah. Look at every interview lomachenko did before or after that fight. He always stated "that fight doesn't mean much for me. He's coming up 2 divisions so I know I will beat him. The victory will be nothing special or satisfying".
