Lopez gets blasted for speaking the truth about how bad the Mets are meanwhile Steve Cohen talking crap about how the Mets are a playoff team. But as usual it’s the guy who speaks the truth who gets blasted and the guy who feeds you crap and fluff who gets away with it.

Instantly DFAing him just signals to every player in that team and to all the fans that the team is ok with losing horribly every single day, we're going to stick with the same strategy as always and the same busted core that couldn't win an arcade game, let alone a baseball game. The glove belongs to him, not to the team. He threw it to the fans, not at the fans, it's not like he was trying to hurt somebody. So far, Pham and now Lopez are the only ones willing to speak up about how a team goes from 100 wins to absolute unwatchable garbage.

@@MilkBoy17520 That spin of yours is way out there. After both the GM and manager told him that his antics were unacceptable, Lopez told the media that he had no regrets whatsoever, then practically dared the Mets to DFA him. Keeping insubordinate employees around kills an organization.

Lindor calling for a team meeting while batting around .200 might seem hypocritical, much like Yankees fans defending Mendoza despite his lack of Major League playing experience. It's unreasonable for Lindor to accept guidance from a manager who's akin to a swimming coach who has never been in the water. Fire Mendoza right now

3rd base umpire needs to make better calls. He's showing the Mets that he's helping the Dodgers win that game. Jorge Lopez is speaking from the heart and is right about the whole Mets organization not doing their jobs. Now he can sign with another team that actually wants to improve unlike the Mets who have been in last place or near last place the last fee years.

Jorge Lopez is back on his feet with a new team in the National League. The righty reliever Lopez has landed a deal with the Chicago Cubs. It will be a minor-league contract for the 31-year-old Lopez, Sammon adds. Lopez is a nine-year MLB veteran who was an All-Star in 2022 with the Minnesota Twins. He should receive a call-up soon.

This team is out of perspective, he said the true, the same happened to Javy Báez, they don’t defend there players, and the players getting frustrated, we all the situation, look you have a GM that signed one player 2 time from free agent and trade the same player two time, plus’s this GM never prepared a team for this season, so why you gone spend money on Lindor, MacNeil, Nimo, and JDM to dont have a team to play good baseball. This team is a joke.

Umpires need to stop acting like they are gods. Most are easily replaceable with more fools who can make bad calls. MLB needs to get control of them. The Angel Hernandez debacle is a stain on the game. As far as the glove thing, I'm sure fans would love for players to give away games used gear all the time. If Lopez was an ace, he wouldn't have been released for that.

@@jimwerther What did Jose do that warranted him being cut? He's our best relief pitcher in that pen, and he was being ACCOUNTABLE AND FIERY. THAT'S WHAT THE TEAM NEEDS MORE OF. IF FRONT OFDICE DIDNT LIKE HIM, THEN MAKE A TRADE. DONT BE A RETARD AND JUST LET HIM GO FOR NOTHING.
@jimwerther
@jimwerther 2 ай бұрын
@@WolvesBaseballNine 1. He was absolutely not the best pitcher in the pen. Like everyone else who was doing great early, he's been smacked around the last few weeks. 2. After both Stearns and Mendy spoke to him, explaining that the antics were not acceptable, Lopez nonetheless told the media that he had no regrets at all for his behavior, then pretty much went on to dare the team to DFA him. 3. At that point Lopez became insubordinate. Organizations that retain insubordinate employees fall apart. The Mets had no choice. 4. DFA is not the same as release. The team has a week or so to trade him somewhere, or else they can send him to Syracuse, which he can reject and instead take his release. But the overwhelming likelihood is that they will trade him in the next couple of days. 5. None of that makes Ron Darling a "sellout". Darling tells it straight, and gave his opinion. You made it sound as if Darling used to behave that way as a player. He didn't.
