JM makes around 65+65 per fight. Based on that, he has made 275k (1-1 plus PotN bonus and 30k from Reebok) this year. Fighters certainly have expenses, but how can you be broke if you may 275k in the first 9 months of the year? If he loses, he still ends up making more than 350k for 2017. Again, not saying he should not make more, just that that is not a small amount and certainly not an amount with which one can claim to be broke.

Here's how I think the fight will play out, Masvidal will most likely get the better of Wonderboy, but will not be able to finish Wonderboy, due to Wonderboy's size advantage, and then the bought and paid for judges will give a unanimous decision to Wonderboy, robbing Masvidal once again. The UFC pushes the fighters they want and bumps the ones that they don't want. Realistically, both Maia and Masvidal could have had a legit chance to be champ of the division but the UFC didn't want it to happen.

I know he did, but styles definitely make fights, and so do match makers. Match makers play a big role in the outcome of things. For example, if Masvidal would have gotten the shot against Woodly, instead of Maia, he most likely would have beaten Woodly. The fight would have played out on the feet, and Masvidal has better stand up than Woodly.
