Eddie saying it was a lack of experience on AJ’s behalf for not taking the full 5 minutes for a “low blow”… 34 years old, 2 time heavyweight champion of the world, and on the back end of his career with a lack of experience?! If you haven’t got that “Experience” at that point, I’m afraid you’ll never have it!
@djfriskyd18574 ай бұрын
Yes, Joshua should have taken the full 5 minutes, like when Usky fought Dubois & done exactly the same thing low blow. However regardless if he done this I think the fight would have been the same outcome! Dubois was hurting Joshua from the off set and that hard jab was the key. Dubois looked quicker and a millisec makes difference at that level.
@dazediss66294 ай бұрын
The problem is that whilst being 34 & twice heavyweight champion; he doesn’t have much experience. It sounds bizarre but look at his record. Hes been matched against either young talents who are making the jump from amateur to pro like Whyte or Parker at the time, or over the hill past greats like Klitchko or Povetkin or Pulev. Whenever he’s fought anybody in their prime - regardless of weight he’s been outboxed. Even the victories have been by slim margins. Wallin, Molina, Ngannou could have all easily beaten him. I said it from day one and I’ll say it now; Tyson Fury is the best of a bad bunch. He was easily the one to beat in this division for a long time & he would have annihilated AJ. That’s not to even say Fury is a great boxer, because he’s not. He’s just the best of a poor division and his career has peaked at a time where heavyweight talent is at an all time low. Fury, AJ & Wilder were at the top of this division for a solid 5 years. If they’d boxed in the 90s all 3 would barely be top 20.

@@Thesoulsthatwander Despite being a straight up lunatic at times and wildly arrogant, one thing I can't really hold against Fury is being a ducker. He was the one that came in without a name and started Wilder's downfall. Beat a (albeit already older) Klitschko brother. Shame he lost those years due to his addiction, but he came back and beat the odds with a nice redemption story. Then he gave boxing fans a treat with Usyk (one of my favorite bouts of the year). Took the L on the chin and running it back. Problem right now with boxing is most champs are shielding their belts by refusing to challenge themselves. I at least give props to Crawford (who has everything to lose with his unblemished record) for even attempting to scale up weights to challenge Canelo. Meanwhile, Canelo's apparently sick of fans dictating his matchups, so he's been on his hiatus tour fighting 20:1 underdogs...and getting paid crazy for it.
