Yes he lost against the top 3 fighters In that division but you could tell he was slowing up and at 38 he's done enough for him to live his life without having to fight to make money. He has gamebred promotions so what's the point of keep going.

@@zombieepx1933 he has fought in strike force (many people from there become champions in UFC or became top 5 , 10 in UFC ) ,Bellator (actually main evented the first bellator pay per view , bo dog ( fought likes of Eves Edward there) hence it is way more credible than kabibs record before UFC..

@@johnlineker2073 strikeforce is definitely more credible than where khabib came from but it is not like masdival was fighting any well knowns there. i cant say his overall record is more credible than khabibs for one he never became champion let alone defended it 3 times, and he actually has 7 top 10 wins in the ufc where as masdival has more like 4 top 10 wins, and a hefty amount of losses. not sure how you gather his resume being more credibly simply because he fought no namers in strikeforce and bellator when it was even more of a B league promotion than it is now.

Will always be a Masvidal fan. His next fights/ventures would be to compete in the business world, which I understand he has already embarked upon. But the business world can be much more competitive and very treacherous, so he will still need to use the fighting spirit and war wisdom to obtain even greater success in the business world. Much respect for Masvidal to recognize and walk away before it is too late. I did not see the same Masvidal in the Burns fight. He was not pulling the trigger like before. He lost that hungry edge. It happens when you reach a certain level of success. The grind is not quite the same. However he has come a long way as a self-made man. Would love to see Masvidal become a billionaire next. @Bing Bong👏🏾👊🏾 Bro this is the problem with the Internet. You get people who comment for the sake of it and then you get some real insightful comments witch lead to some good conversations. I have a black belt in kickboxing and have competed at a decent level.

@Bing Bong yes its a comment section(but it allows for dumb comments), nobody is talking about high level reading🤷🏾‍♂️. I clearly said why are people who haven't even competed at Gamebreds level bashing he's career. Same thing with izzy he lost to poatan, and everyone caught amnesia forgetting the work he put in the last 7 defenses. The comments were ridiculous...now he's knocked out poatan its Izzy this, izzy that.

It's funny because mentally, this is by far the strongest Masvidal we've ever seen from an intellectual/ego/emotional intelligence standpoint, this guy really learned a lot from his thousands of wars and will for sure live up to tell it and do something good with that (btw, a movie should be warranted about his life and antics, from beggining to end) not a single sign of CTE, and really glad of that. The only thing left for him was apologising to Colby publicly. but what can i say, no ones perfect thats for sure.

I've experienced what he's talking about in the ring, it's like a your muscles are stuck, for me it was firing shots, I trained and trained and trained to remove it, it got better but it's still there. Short story short, as much as George could still fight I'm glad he's choosing now to exit, it won't even come back and he would fade out chasing it, plus that askren knockout will still be here when he's long gone, he's got the legacy and he's still on top, a true champion bowing out now
