I remember many interviews before the belt they had the same rapport. And in the lead up to the first fight with Kamaru Usman who as at the time the pound for pound king, Ariel told Leon he would be champion at the end of every interview and Leon would guarantee it right back. It’s a beautiful thing to see how far Leon has gone, and that he still comes back to give an interview to Ariel since he always had his back. 👍🏽

I was at UFC204, still have my ticket - me and my friend went up from Swansea to Manchester, we got out the arena at like 7AM, we waited for the next train back down to Wales :D I've been trying to get a ticket for UK events since UFC204, unable to. Me and my friend had to sit at opposite ends of the arena on that night just to be able to get a good ticket (£120) I cannot wait for UFC304, but if I cannot get a ticket this time i'll be writing to Dana personally! :D

UFC didnt want Leon on the 300 card. They only offered Leon to 3 Muslims who everyone knew wouldn't fight during Ramadan to help meet their contractual obligations of offering X number of fights to everyone on the roster. Belal made it clear that he would fight for the title even during Ramadan.

@@rajkhan9643 i get what you're saying, but the reason they didn't call belal is they can't put belal vs leon as the main event on such a big card, so they called names that will make a more interesting fight for ufc 300, and the reason they called those three cuz first as i said it will make a big fight, second is each one of these three fighters are related to the welterweight division, shavkat is the top 3 ranked at WW, khamzat was the top 3 ranked too before he moved up, islam been calling for leon for awhile, it's just a coincidence that those three are muslims and don't fight during ramadan. i mean there are no better opponents than those to ask to fight leon in such a event.
