@@rojocolorado3764 Thank you. We had the privilege of experiencing his musical genius firsthand, but also he was a really cool uncle. He is now with my aunt and their son in heaven. His daughter, my cousin, is being supported emotionally by my family.

Condolences to you and your family. I'm so sorry. He was an excellent composer and guitarist and i still love his music. In these days i listened more times his "Prelude for Olga", it's such a wonderful piece.

@@DAMusic-qu2ec that’s the one I learned about ten years ago. Maybe longer..... probably over twenty actually. It was tough, but I touched it out. Then I found two pristine Jorge Morel vinyls at an antiques boutique... got I think a dollar a piece. He played it totally different. So I found that version published by Cheska, WAY COOLER! Note the way Cheer players it also. But now I regret losing the Ashley Mark one because he played it more like that one on this video. lol smh cool! Thanks!

El 10 de febrero de 2021 a los 89 años El 10 de febrero de 2021 falleció este maravilloso virtuoso de la guitarra. Fue quien con su arreglo musical de Misionera para guitarra produjo que esta galopa - cuyo autor es Fernando Bustamante- sea interpretada por excelentes artistas internacionales.

Haven’t seen him for a while though... I never seen this one. Hopefully he’ll perform his arrangement of Rhapsody in Blue! lol.... I’d probably almost kick over if I got to see that by surprise!!! lol

Wanted to relax and hear some amazing guitar music this afternoon. Looked up Jorge Morel as he was always one of my favorite masters. I listened to Danza Brasilia many times on 33 1/3 album. This concert was just what I needed. Brilliant. Beautiful. Breathtaking.

Jorge is truly one of the greatest classical guitarist of all time. I was fortunate to have met him around 1968 for a lesson in NYC, I believe on 54 st. If I knew where to contact him I'd ask him for another lesson.

The piece at 7:47 is called Don Agustín Bardi and is a tango by Horacio Salgán arranged by Jorge Morel. The milonga announced perhaps vanished during editing?
