I'll do my best to translate it for some of y'all: Jorge Ramos: Lin-Manuel Miranda thank you for being on the program here with us. I appreciate it very much Lin: thank you, Jorge Jorge Ramos: We are going to discuss a bit about theatre and art, but first we will talk about Puerto Rico. How is Puerto Rico going to be saved? Lin: Well, this financial situation is a product of many years of mismanagement and inaction from Congress. Sorry about the traffic behind me; we are in nueva yolk. And the reality is Congress is in a position where they can help Puerto Rico. If they write in the law a way where Puerto Rico is given the opportunity to restructure their debts, they can solve a humanitarian crisis that is coming to the island. Jorge Ramos: Do you think that Congress forgets that Puerto Ricans are too citizens of the United States. Tú se lo recordaste You reminded him? Maybe he said Did you remember it? I'm not sure /: Lin: Well, I see my role in this political drama as simply to put a human face on this. You know... I think it's our responsibility as Puerto Ricans who grew up here in the United States to give a voice to the Puerto Ricans on the island who are suffering. Jorge Ramos: Do you think statehood is the solution for Puerto Rico? That if it becomes state fifty-one, many of the problems that we're facing will disappear? Lin: I don't know. The reality is that that is a very important question(?). The status of Puerto Rico and its relationship with the United States is really complicated, and I think it's a question for the people that live in the island. I live in nueva yolk; that's not my job to answer that. My responsibility is to help raise the voice of Puerto Rico in this crisis. And the next question once we get out of this crisis, if we get out of this crisis is "What are we?" Jorge Ramos: And what are you? Tell me how you feel. Are you Puerto Rican first and then North American? How do you define yourself? What is your identity? Lin: Well, I define myself as the son of Puerto Ricans who grew up in nueva yolk. I'm as New York-ican as they come. But I spent my summers in Puerto Rico. I have a lot of family on the island, so for me this is not a political question; it's personal, but I feel like the question about

What is Immigration Law? Immigration law refers to the rules established by the federal government for determining who is allowed to enter the country, and for how long. It also governs the naturalization process for those who desire to become U.S. citizens. Finally, when foreign nationals enter without permission, overstay their visit, or otherwise lose their legal status, immigration law controls how the detention and removal proceedings are carried out. What is Illegal immigration? Illegal immigration to the United States is the act by foreign nationals violating United States immigration laws by either entering the country without government permission (i.e., a visa) or after being lawfully admitted, remaining within the country beyond their period of authorized admission as a non-immigrant.
