If I am permitted to express my humble opinion as an old musician, this performance is quite pleasant, clean, correct from the point of view of pure pianism but... It leaves a question - why? Why do we need all of this? Why did Rachmaninoff compose this etude? Why does the pianist need to play it? One big question. If the pianist finds the answer, his performance not only will be pleasant but also genuine.
