I always loved this period of Jorma's work: great new songs, often strange (but that's his speciality) sometimes provocative and challenging, new research in sounds, new projects, and the old rags were always passionnating (uh, what will he DO tonight on Hot Jelly Roll Blues?)It is too often overlooked...

Not classic Jorma, but he can sure pour on the licks. Great sound, always play songs from this album, to this day. And what a treat for these 2 kids to get to play HFT songs with the master. My first favorite tuna song roll jelly rollllllll

"Vital Parts" I guarantee you Jorma didn't show up sober. He has talked about this. I think it is absolutely priceless and bless the nerds who taped it.

I believe when they returned from Europe they were no longer a band. They didn’t get along too well over there.
