I was at this show. I'd never seen or heard an acoustic played like this and it changed my music direction. Dug into Rev Davis and took up finger picking. A life changer this show was. They came out electric after and I was out of my mind.

Услышал о Jorma Kaukonen в 1983-85 г.г.

Jorma's pretty hopped-up here!

Rolling balls, for sure. Read the biography. In many ways he was another victim of all of that. It's nice to see the "FPR Jorma" these days.

and kind of scary looking too. BTW, Ovation guitars sound like plastic-even the expensive ones.

Was a big Airplane fan in HS. At 18, a friend gave me the Quah LP he nicked @ a college station where he was working. Immediately dove into the finger-picking style of Gary Davis.

On my 23rd birthday, nice! I wonder what I was actually doing that day? Might have been in Columbus Ohio with my long distance girlfriend at the time.

He's never stopped playing with Jack Casady & many others . These days he's still at it & better than ever. Electric & Acoustic. His Peace Fur Ranch brings many of the best players together to do what they do best... Play music.

@@paullevine1813 Read the bio. It's all explained, sort of. Jack is back, and has been for a couple decades now. Like a lot of juiced up rock stars, Jorma had some real issues with his personal demons back then. His wife, his life, the music industry, his bad habits and a very elfish personality. All of it created a character that was desperately searching for something. We don't get to see that from the seats in the audience. Being a huge Jorma fan, it was a revealing book, honestly portrayed. Time heals. Him and Jack are rocks.

Electric set had Denny "Benny Boredom" DeGorio and Bob Steeler. Jorma swapped out his cabana wear for a custom made "Hidden Klitz" t-shirt. Played until 2:00 am .... Kingfish opened .... and the fog rolled on....

@@Editype Played until 2, yeah. Tuna was a marathon act.
