My Grandma just passed away this week and as the grandkid who lived with her all my life I felt I had to be composed for the rest of the family during the mass/burial/dinner. This song will always make me break down into tears because it makes me remember everything I've lost over the past years ever since covid. The cold weather while binge watching dbs late at night on toonami, watching RDCWorld's anime house with friends in the school locker room, ssj9ks parodies, the friends I used to have in middle school, my self discipline, my confidence, my positivity, my charisma, the depression of self isolation, and the fact of being forgotten by your old friends. The fact that I nor the world will ever be the same as it was before breaks my heart and makes it a harder every day to keep moving on as if nothing happened. Nothing is the same anymore. Why couldn't things stay the same. I leave this comment here as a cry for help but also to be remembered by my old friends and classmates. I have a tendency to see stories when I listen to music. I see a man, the singer, sitting against a cherry blossom tree, watching petals fall and the entire time, he's thinking back to that fateful day. In the past, he was in a relationship with someone, but for one reason or another, they ended it with the singer. He wanted to say something, but couldn't and let them walk away. His mind flashes to the happier moments from their time together, causing him to cry. By chance, he sees his former lover with someone else and the heartbreak hits even harder as the singer desperately wishes to move on while regretting the words they didn't say in the past; if he said those words, would things have been different?

Not trying to be a smartass or anything but if you think this ending or other ending songs are somehow related to the story of DBS / DB then you're DEAD wrong my friends. All the ending song has one purpose and ONE purpose only, that is remind you of your "relationship" between YOU (viewers) and the series. I've seen the English sub of the song "Hello Hello Hello" (first ending) and it hit me so hard right in the feels. The song talks about a kid who go through a long journey to become a real adult and live to tell the tales. If you think the song is about Goku then you're wrong. The song is about YOU, you growing up with Goku, and you go through all the troubles and screaming with him through each episodes. About this song, I don't have to explain much since the guy is already translate it for you. Basically it's something about when DBZ end (manga) - and dude, you don't realize how sad it was back in my days, I'm 24 right now, I was just a 14yo little boy who buy a new volume of the manga every time its up in the store. I still remember the last day the final chapter of DBZ end, IDK how to explain to you that feeling... like... you woke up every morning and you know your mom is gonna BE THERE to cook you food and stuffs but the another day you wake up, she's not there anymore... I know compare like this is kinda "Awful" but that's the only way I can tell you how sad it is. You lost all your hope, like you lost a special friend of yours. *Tears drop* P/S: Sorry, I'm not so good with English, I still hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

You know, now that I read the official translation of the full version, along with this English adaptation, it makes me realize that this song, as great and meaningful as it is, has little to nothing to do with Super or its characters, at least unless we apply multiple headcanons to some of them or add a ton of extra conflicts they're going through right now that the show won't delve into (since it's an action-comedy first, drama second). Odd, because the other endings of this show fit the series as a whole well enough, but this...doesn't. The animation of the ending helps, but even then, it's a bit of a stretch considering the song's talk about lovers and loss in a marriage specifically over love between family. Is Chi-Chi going through some internal struggle with Goku constantly leaving to train as she sits on the sidelines? Normally her problems are played for laughs. But that last line says 'she', when Goku isn't exactly the type to feel sorrow over romance. And all the other couples in Super seem to be living their lives swimmingly. It's odd.
